If we are going to reduce the number of Challenges for the Battle Pass to just 3 per week, I suggest the ability to re-roll be restored. I find it difficult to imagine that people would enjoy the prospect of waiting for some 6 days for something we have no interest in completing to cycle out. Better to give people choices, and the freedom to decide for themselves which ones they would prefer to complete. As I often say:
“The option which presents more options is usually the better option”.
Even though I’m finished, I’d say 3 re-rolls would be good. That way you have the option to re-roll the re-roll in the event you get something worse. If you can’t get a suitable one by that point, well… you’re just gonna have to wait it out.
Yeah, having some rerolls would be nice - like jmk I’ve finished, but mostly not by doing challenges. For me that’s one of the downsides with the new system - I kinda liked the random challenges giving me suggestions of things I might want to do today. Having three pretty generic kill quests per week felt less ‘inspiring’ - re-rolling might at least increase the odds of getting one I’m a bit more enthusiastic for.
Devs should venture into Exiled Lands and try to hunt 3 corrupted wolves
The challenges give much more experience than in previous BP but what if out of 3 only 1 is doable and you are stuck with remaining 2 for a week until they auto re-roll?
I praised the change on day 1, but after a while I found the challenges often un-doable.
Thanks for posting and for voicing your support Bathory.
This was part of the final straw which spurned me into generating this thread. Having one of only 3 weekly challenges in which you need to count on the game’s RNG component is not cool.
Yep and this was the other part of my extrinsic. motivator. Being unable to complete 1 (or 2) of the 3 challenges, i.e.- recruit a patron from a bar because it is broken.
I suspect that for many the honeymoon period may be coming to an end.
Not all players are going to finish the Battle Pass in 2-3 weeks, because not all of us play games for 8+ hours per day. On a good week I get to play games for a few hours on Saturday and a few hours on Sunday. And I feel that people in my position cannot rely solely on the capped passive Exp; I will need the boost offered by the challenges to get me across the line.
PS- after work I will upload an image of my battle pass progress. It is only mid 20s, and my partner’s is lower again.
Exactly. I may not love grinding, but at least I can estimate the time required to complete a grind. But there’s no way to know how long it takes to find X randomly spawning critters, or if I can find them in time for the challenge.
Jokes aside, I would love to have this feature back as well.
Tired of looking for 3 specifiek demon animals which are hard to find… and need to spend hours of my week finding them. Hours I could spend on doing something else.
Last time I had to kill 3 demon wolfs… took me 4 hours to get them eventually with cheats on. Imagine having to do this the legit way (after 2 hours and only 1 demon wolf kill I started cheating with instant respawn, they have a 2% chance spawn).
