Eh, in their current state theyâre a gimmick at best.
Their harvesting ability is abysmal and requires you to be near it to work.
Combat wise the brimstone & lightning rod golem is nice, but since you cannot heal or repair them theyâre an expensive investment, even more so because it requires the lightning storm spell to maximize itâs potential.
Iâm just hoping itâll lead to better regular thralls in the future.
I see well that does seem like it would need an improvement as the world of conan u can most definitely gets swarmed in a place by 10million enemies at ones especially if we are talking maelstrom and they arent weak either well hopefully we can make reports on it so they know that we dont like it as much since it doesnt sound like its worth the investment!
It apparently wonât let you assign it to harvest meat, but you can assign hides to it. Thick hide, elephant hide, feline pelt, etc. It wonât harvest enemies that donât drop that item, as far as I can tell. So if you tell it to harvest elephant hide and nothing else, then it wonât harvest anything but elephants. And I donât think it will harvest human enemies at all even though you can get hide from them.
I havenât done a whole lot of harvesting with them yet, other than a stone golem I parked a little ways outside my base that wanders around collecting stone. This is just what Iâve observed in the brief time I had a sword equipped golem following me around.
Golems do nothing if you arenât there to babysit them. Golems are entirely useless, at least in PvE. I can harvest more/faster if I do it myself and just stuff it in my bearer or go expertise 20. Golems get far fewer mats from an area, so they only negatively impact you.
ONE exception I found was setting one just outside my base in a patch of close trees. I have my land claim set really low (0.2), so trees grow right next to my walls. When I am in my workshop, the golem will gather wood for me and it does help a little. The iron, which is probably 30 foundations away has a golem that just stands there guarding it. It wakes every time I go to check., as if saying âlook at me working hard for you, please donât dismantle me!â
