It’s been rather harsh for the gaming industry as a whole of late. Oh to be a fly on the wall… Just for curiosity’s sake.

Thus, until they release the update there really is no way to know what to expect from it. Therefore there is no reason to assume it will be the “holy grail of patches” nor the “end of the world!”. WE SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW UNTIL THEY RELEASE IT.
If it’s rubbish and fixes next to nothing, well, they had their chance and blew it. So long.
If it fixes a whole lot of stuff that has been wrong for some time, then a whole lot of people here are going to need to admit to spreading falsehoods based upon nothing more than their own person opinion. Not that any of them actually will of course.

I think many of us can make some fairly accurate assumptions based on past experience.
As I’ve said. All I expect is disappointment. And I’m not waiting around 4 months for it.
As much as I’d love to be proven wrong, I don’t see it happening.
Like I’ve said lay the bar on the ground and funcom will grab a shovel.

Yet they flag any kind of negative opinion in their own post like I did when I asked them if that means we are going to spend 6 months without any kind of hotfix
Funcom staff doesn’t flag posts, the community does. Funcom staff can just delete the posts (or the users).
I didn’t have an opportunity to see your post. Was there perhaps something in your tone that could’ve been interpreted as “unconstructive” that resulted in flagging? Not accusing you of anything, just curious.

its funny. They wait for the entire game to die, and then they decide to do this?
We have had a broken UI since it’s implementation.
Instead of rolling back the old working UI until they fix the new ugly one, NO… they leave us with the broken UI for months at a time…
Everything else I was able to swallow…
But the fact they took a perfectly working UI and gave us what we have now?
This tells me the level of imcopetence.
Come on…
We often can’t drop the items on the floor correctly…
Our armor often cant be equiped, we need use work around with changing to no sorting and moving a random item…
It’s hard to express the frustration of the new UI…
But the fact they took a working one, and implemented a broken one…
I know I keep repeating it… Im annoyed as hell.

At this point we and our flags are the only moderation going on here; as far as I can tell.
Ya well, maybe some body finally woke up. New content was not bringing players back. But WE wont know for what?

Don’t want to sound pesimistic, nor I want this game to “die”, but for me this dev announcement is somewhat disturbing. Since dropping of battle pass (right after redeveloping it) I had a feeling, that FC just don’t have any good idea (and maybe resources) to create/add anything new to this game. Game engine limitations, not enough “hands” to work on this title, sure, but for me it is mostly lack of really good ideas (+inability to “feel” this game, it’s style, theme or whatever we like to call it). They don’t even bother to incorporate stuff from wonderful modders or hear suggestions from dedicated players.
This will (in long term) “kill” this game - not bugs, not hackers, but just lack of delivering interesting, new stuff to do. I can’t belive they will manage to fix major bugs (since some of them are around for years, well maybe those related to latest living settlements could be eliminated), so focusing on those fixes is like as an admission of abandoning the case and using only minimal resources to keep the players’ hopes alive.

The very reason CEA was created and why I changed my tone immensely on the forums is to hopefully end player infighting and work towards unity to push for change.
You don’t have to believe the letter, the messenger, anything Oduda says, anything I say or care.
But at the very least, can you not incite rude arguments against fellow players, especially in my post?

P.S. I have made post after post IN SUPPORT OF FIXING OFFICIALS, yet one more bloody lie from the master of lies.

There’s nothing actually wrong with not liking Officials. As an Official server player, I can understand the harsh criticism against them. I also don’t like playing on private servers; this does not mean that my preference makes them any less viable as an option for everyone.
But we are all PLAYERS. Don’t let past words color that fact too brightly. That chip on your shoulder is screaming too loudly.
We need to join together regardless of our playstyles, modes, hardware and preferred locations to play. Hope and even drive for meaningful improvements and success.
