You contact the game, zendesk, funcom. Not battleye, battleye is just a tool.

If he got a BattlEye ban he will be banned from all games using the tool as per my understanding. This includes private servers as well as long as they run BattlEye. I know someone who got one of these bans while logging in his own private server.

These bans are usually automatic and due to some software you run in the background. I doubt Funcom has anything to do with it or can even help in this situation.

VAC stands for Valve Anti-Cheat, which is an automated system that’s designed to detect cheats installed on a Steam user’s computer. If you’re banned by VAC, the ban is permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed by Steam Support.

If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing that game on VAC-Secured servers in the future.

Basically, don’t cheat or play games on Steam on a PC that has cheats downloaded and you’ll likely be fine.

Good luck with that…

Pretty much this. He may not have even been cheating in CE, but if BattlEye saw something it recognized as a cheat in another game, he’ll be banned from CE regardless.

Valve’s anti-cheat system works slightly different, last I checked. A VAC ban in a Source engine game will effect all Source engine games. But a ban in a game using another engine will only affect that game.

Just start another steam account, buy the game again and move on.

You can actually have cheat software on your PC or even installed it inside with the ant-cheat software/tool folder. It bans you the moment you TURN ON the cheats while cheats are ACTIVE. That is what makes anyone a cheater.
-According to high-end Cheaters on CS:GO. Which are the same users will steal steam accounts to sell in-game items and later sell the account. They will sometimes use the hacked account to spam fault reports on other players’ profiles in an attempt to ban any player hoping the owner of the target account will abandon their account in order to steal their account. They will do this method after being unsuccessful in stealing another user’s in-game items. BTW I am a victim of these occurrences. For my steam account, I will never surrender! I will never give up!

It’s like setting up a trap on another race car and you could of trigger it and cheated your way to win and been caught later about it or you changed your mind, never triggered it then uninstalled it from their car late at night, and never did the cheat.

Anyways, I found some anti-malware software that will try to block or remove BattleEye and BattleEye reacts by responding “HOW DARE YOU!! BANHAMMER!!”

I remember Windows 10 - May 2019 Update and Windows 11 Summer Update users are getting bans by BattleEye as I’d read about them.
