[I have a pet Greater Elephant and have had to remove my bracelet at least 3 times due to the elephant standing on top of me and me getting stuck under him. Moving him doesn’t work and neither does crouching. When that happens the only option for me to get unstuck is to remove my bracelet. I don’t know if this is an issue on normal elephants as I’ve experienced this only with the Greater Elephant pet. He follows too closely too. Even if I move the slightest he will move with me. Sometimes he’s so close I can see through him on the screen. At least 3 times he’s stood on top of me and the only way for me to get out is to remove my bracelet and run back to my body. One time the elephant was blocking my body and I couldn’t loot it until an npc aggroed him and he moved to attack. Please look into this bug. It’s very annoying and now I don’t want to have my greater elephant following me around anymore.]
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Have Greater Elephant follow you
Go to an enclosed space
He will literally stand on top of you.
If you can’t reproduce this bug then run around with him for a while and eventually this glitch will happen.
It’s not only the elephant or any varieties of it, it’s also the mammoth, the rhino (and all varieties) and the camel.
This is most noticeable when you are higher than them, specially the rhino, he will push you, adjust, push you adjust until either he kills you or he moves inside of you. @Hugo
Respectfully, use a gazelle. Less storage but no problems like you describe. Between a horse and a gazelle, there is plenty of storage before you break a Black Blood pick
This happens all the time with my horse! He follows so close and most of the time when I go up an incline he ends up right in my space and I get stuck. Half of the time I can crouch or do some other action to get unstuck but the other half is so bad I have to use the Admin Panel > Ghost to get out of it (playing single player). I tried to find a mod that makes the horse not follow so close but surprisingly there isn’t one.
I think the reason you can’t find a mod is that modders (and me) think it will be fixed and the time would be wasted. Certainly not a good situation and I can relate, sorry.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to replicate the getting stuck part on single player, dedicated testlive or live. My horse gets in my face (or rather I get inside his face) when farming, but I can always move sideways to clear that.
Are you on an incline or a restricted are where there isn’t a lot of room? That could be the difference between my experience and yours.
