I heard about a new exploit via the new purge for griefers to cause trouble.
Is this true ?
And is it going to be patched?

Use it before you lose it. 
It was done with bosses before this. The purge is untethered it seems.
I’m not going to use that illegal exploit. I’m afraid of it If I get targeted by griefers in dry pve
It’s very true. Lost all my thralls to someone else’s purge when I wasn’t even online.

In PvE it’s super important to do your research and join an official or private server with an established community.
This type of play won’t happen on a good server with good players.
Aside from what I mentioned above, it’s also important to understand how purges work and what you can do to prevent this. It is indeed preventable.
This can be done on pvp servers after raid hours too. Never underestimate the pettiness of Conan players

I’ve ran a purge through a PVE base when the player insists on placing 100 thralls in an open wall build base with 250 torches flickering and causing everyone who passes by to crash or lag. It’s not illegal or hacking, it’s using the mechanics of the game to your advantage. There is no system for cleaning up land spammers in game on PVE, and so many players treat PVE servers like it’s their own private server. Admins won’t do anything about it, so it falls to us. I’ve done it and laughed my way through the entire process. These are community servers and certain players need to be more considerate. If you have placed 100 low level thralls with no armor outside your base, you deserve what you get.

What you did was preposterous! You have no right to do it, zero. And no excuse!
You acted like you own the server, so you are no better from the one you hurt!

The old purges were much better at demolishing an enemies base, they didn’t stop at just killing guards. Old purges took longer to get set up of course, but the results could be far more devastating. Using a purge to attack someone else in PvE is certainly not new.

That’s trash and you know it. This is a community game. If you want mega base builds and to place thralls everywhere, either go single player or rent your own server. Why should other players be affected because of selfish players? I sent them a message advising them of the issues and they ignored me. I spoke with other players on my server to make sure the issue wasn’t just me. I put in a ticket and nothing happened. So I took care of it and I let every single item decay. If someone builds a megabase by an ob and causes other players to crash, you bet your ass I’m running a purge through it. PVP, PVE, I don’t care. I did it with the old purge and I’ll do it with the new purge. I’ve never done it to a considerate player who knows how to behave on public servers, only those who make the game break for other players. I made the server perform better so users aren’t crashing, so yes, I am better than these players who don’t care about others in game.
If I started to spread out and ruin the experience for other players I would expect them to do the same to me.
And I did have an excuse. They knowingly caused the game to crash. Did I have the right to it? Well, I didn’t hack the game or cheat, so, yeah, I kinda did.
