So, I was thinking about some potential options for thralls to guard and patrol a localized area over simply using the “wait” command or placing them in specific spots. And I thought it would be neat if you could order a currently following thrall to guard a location at a specific post by interacting with that post. That way you could set up guards to patrol around the inside of your base or along the entrances. It would also make bases feel much more “alive”, if you know what I mean…
I think this feature could possibly extend the usefulness of thalls as guards, especially in the case of melee guards, seeing as their attack type is better suited for patroling than ranged guards, who are arguably better off stationary upon a tower or wall.
Does anyone else have anything to add to this idea? Or any other similar ideas? I would be interested in hearing them.
