Hackers Everywhere

This is NOT reporting an infraction. This is for discussing the state of the game.
Last night 1530 had 7 different accounts speed hacking and hitbox pulling.
This is the worst state I have seen the game in 12000 of play time. We need some form of active moderation. Two weeks to get a $3 account banned with the current system is not working, it is detrimental to the games player base.

Good evening .
I understand your desire to see improvements on this thorny problem of hacks.
However, the previous topic having been closed, I think there is no point in opening another one .
Even if this forum is a place of expression for us, the Conan Exile community, certain topics are not appropriate here.
In addition to seeing this firm subject again, you risk sanctions from administrators. If you meet cheaters, report the A Zendesk with all the evidence that you would consider from the file as you mention the moderator who has closed the previous subject.
I wish you good luck .

lol certain topics not appropriate. What a joke of a reply. Hackers constantly plague official PvP servers. It’s absolutely ridiculous at the lack of attention these cheaters receive. If it’s not expressed in the forums where should someone go for it? How would the issue ever get resolved? When will our voices be heard?

It’s quicker to get banned from saying restricted words than it is to get hackers actioned on.

I know you usually have the best of intentions.

But no.

The hacking is at it’s WORST. Comes in waves but this is the most consistent its ever been and they know nothing will be done immediately to the point that entire clans of hackers are showing up.

It requires attention and to be discussed.

This one sympathizes.
However, this one is at a loss for how the problem may be remedied. While there is (anecdotally) an uptick in this particular issue, the overarching framework that has allowed this is not new and finding an efficient and effective way to deal with it has proven vexatious at best and quixotic at worst.

It’s being standardize, where possible. Standards help optimize/quantize the queue of help. If we have experimental in production then something went wrong.

Reporting issues and not using the above form is a little like typing on your computer without swtiching it on first.

I completely agree with you.
Cheaters are a scourge that must be eradicated.
I just reacted because the author’s previous subject was, as usual, closed without further explanation by the moderator.
This forum is for us, it allows us to communicate between us and the developers, it is there to exchange our ideas, opinions, remarks: but as for Funcom turns a deaf ear to certain subjects .

I am neither pro ■■■■■■ nor anti FunCom, just a player and a client like you, annoyed by certain choices and decisions of Funcom. I hope that @AndyB And developer iFinally, take their reponsabilities in the face of this cheating problem and will accept dialogue with us on this subject.

every time i post because i am concerned about the games sate with cheating. My posts get hidden. so, they’re actively trying to downplay this major problem.

this post will get gone in about 20 mins

Not always, it really is in how you word it.

They’ll delist it especially if the method of hacking is described.

It’s not particularly a bug though. It’s an injection, like a mod.

They’re fully aware of the problem since Zendesk tickets are submitted daily.

It is the lack of communication, acknowledgment and action we’re having to come to terms with on Funcom’s side. Which prompts discussions like this.

We’ve already done our due diligence.

Indeed. 1 hacker clan vowed to take down each official PVP server. But this one didn’t because they were countered by other hackers.

Seeing hacker clan vs. hacker clan battles now too.

It’s actually a currently downloadable mod on steam. I will not name it, but when you get rocked the hacker’s grief you with the name.

it’s before the alphabet O and not after the alphabet Q.

I think it’s time to sunset official PvP servers and leave it to private servers to handle this aspect of the game. At least there will be some form of live moderation.

I believe the future of online gaming hinges primarily on the assurance of a secure platform. Introducing standardized tests or ratings for games based on their coding integrity is imperative. It would be beneficial to have a second-party assessment affirming the soundness of the code, thereby assigning suitable grades.

This would provide long-term players with peace of mind, knowing that the games they invest years into are built on a solid foundation. (GPT version of my edit) (integrity - is a large word here and totally effective)

I work as a software dev and what you want is pure fiction.

I do too so, but totally disagree

Remember when Gabe Newell claimed Steamguard was hacker proof and got his account broken in less than 24h? We’re talking about a company worth billions.

I agree with you, bro. It’s crucial that we don’t allow this to become the norm. Perhaps we could consider using AI to assess the situation. AI could suggest the framework to build it within and advise on how to safeguard it effectively. Additionally, AI could continuously generate defensive adjustments and assessments in real-time.
