I have not been able to log in for over a week. My stuff has likely all decayed by this point. I see many others have reported similar problems on multiple servers. This has been going on for too long without resolution.
Edit: Like others have reported I’m getting an infinite loading screen until the connection times out.
So the server is up right now, not sure how long it will last. I saw someone comment I think on Reddit that it comes back up after the automatic server restart at whatever time that happens.
I wish Funcom would at least acknowledge this issue, far less fix it.
I finally got in. Surprisingly my stuff had not decayed although I saw no sign anyone had turned the decay timer off like they should have. There was still some weirdness going on, the game kept minimizing when attempting to log in. Opening a second instance of CE seemed to help that.
I’m thankful I could get in but I have been very disappointed in Funcom’s response, or lack thereof, to this issue. As far as I can tell there has been no communication to the community at all. No one turned the decay timer off until the issue was resolved as has been done in times past. No acknowledgement at all to the issue. Funcom needs to do better before they lose what good will remains in the community. If Funcom intends to remain in business and sell more games in the future they can not neglect the player base of current games as they will be the customers of any future games. Funcom’s reputation has diminished of late for a variety of reasons. They can not let this continue and expect success in the future. As it is they will be hard pressed to win back what good will they have lost over the past few years.
Apparently this happens every day now? I was able to play for like 30mins before “Lost Connection” and now unable to log on again. Probably won’t be able to log back in until tomorrow for another 30 mins.
Server login issues like the ones described usually point to a regional outage or a session mismatch that hasn’t cleared yet. I try to test a different server or restart the client just to confirm it isn’t local, but the pattern here looks broader. I hope the team pushes a fix soon, because I rely on stable access and downtime disrupts everything planned for the session.
