don’( worry all is normal i reported someone that abused a server for 6 months using a deep undermesh floating base under wolf cave, and he got only 2 weeks ban.

Though I am “culturally” wondering… are you going to hijack every single thread on these forums that ever mentions suspensions to talk about that one time you got banned and fully deserved it… or is it something you plan on letting rest eventually? Just curious.

please explain us why he got a 30 days ban when i have evidence with ticket number, video, and funcom id using third party program, cheating in building skybase, and deep undermesh skybase, duping etc and they got only a 2 week ban after been reported by a whole community, i can still not believe it, but this is sadly the actual situation. just curious, all is normal ? 30 day for a legit player building a bridge that can be destoyed by any player if he has a problem with the bridge ? but 2 weeks for a cheater that had to use a third party program to build his deep undermesh base and wrecked a server for 6 months driven away dozens of players of the game, with a base that nobody can destroy…

Not the one who banned him… but that was a long time ago.
I’m not sure what evidence you had about the use of a third party program, however if they only got 2 weeks for that, then that aspect of it was clearly dismissed and they probably only suspended him for exploiting.

Whatever guidelines or methods they use to determine who they ban and for how long does not need anybody else’s approval. Players find this a very hard pill to swallow… and I totally get why, however at the end of the day it does not have to be fair from your perspective, the only perspective that matters is that of the admin doing the banning.
So I wasn’t defending it, I was poking a bit of harmless fun at Nemisis, since he’s been mentioning that ban he got ages ago (before any of the current rules) where he DID break the rules that were in effect at the time and got a suspension for it that was deemed justified by an admin at the time.
Every case is individual and there is no obligation on the admins to somehow take every other case into consideration that they dealt with in the past to make their decision, if they want to change their policy and tomorrow choose to ban people for planting flowers… and that ban is 10 times as long as what they gave out for exploiting in the past… they’re allowed to do that… And yes, we might not like it… but sadly they’re not asking for our permissions before doing it

Personally I’d give them permanent bans.
However, like I said, it’s not up to me… or anybody else, but rather the admin handling the case, even if we don’t like it.
So I think you misunderstood, I wasn’t defending the decision, I was pointing out that it’s their servers and they have every right to decide how they want to handle things. We don’t have to like it, but the only thing we can do is provide some feedback, which a lot of people have done quite often and some in a very constructive manner.
I also see Mayra above being concerned about the bug where the system doesn’t inform players of the supplied reason as it normally should, which has been mentioned a number of times by various people, but now they’re actually investigating it, which I think is a really nice step in the right direction.
sorry if i was a little bit rude, but i saw so many time legit players got ban that were really unfair, when real cheaters are not in trouble, that this a very sensible subject for me, asi really play on pvp server and see really bad thing happening on it.
i mean there is a problem, obviously zendesk do no difference between a cheater and a normal player and this a major problem.and personnaly i just hope that one day they will do.

I was talking to Nemsis. Everyone always saysbthey never find out why, yet they are SURE it was only a bridge. Both cant be true. Either theybsaid itnwas the bridge, or they are assuning that.
Thats the first i heard of admin wiping only one structure. Every ban has been all structures, sans placeables and chests directly on map.

In some cases youre correct. Ive read of others on the forums that have reported people for months on end and the bases still exist.

Look up. Read my very first comment. It is in reply to someone who falsely stated (knowingly or not!) that your first ban is “one or two weeks”. Since people in this discord who love to hop into threads to add their two cents will always say “prove it” I used the example I know to be 100% accurate.
Have I stated that I didnt deserve the ban? No. Have I laughed at it and said it was ridiculously stupid? Yes. Theres a wee difference in it.
Do I chime in every few months on topics that pertain to information I know about, especially when I see something falsely stated? Yes.
Does every other active member of these forums do the exact same thing on topics they know about? Yes. I seem to recall you “hijacking” threads about modding. Notice you rarely if ever see me in those? Know why? I dont know ■■■■ about it. If I did, Id add a comment or answer a question.
Guess you will never comment on any threads that have been discussed in the past? Next comment about modding you will not reply to it right?
We both know that you wont. You will engage in new threads talking about old topics the same as many others will, myself included. You can bet that the next topic started about bans, and I see someone say “Funcom only bans for 7 days for the first building violation”, you will see me reply that they are wrong, with the evidence to back it up…just like the next time I see a thread on how easy it is to mod, or how bad modders are, I fully expect you to show up to correct it.

“Current rules” is merely the newest version of the updated rules. First ban was after ToS violations were decided to be acted on (about a year ago)
Again, if people have evidence, then they can make the claim. When my first ban happened, the only thing that was wiped, was the bridge. Since none of my other things were wiped out, our main 3 bases, wheel bases and map rooms were still intact, its a clear case of what the issue was.
See above answer. Now, maybe they do that now, because all our stuff was deleted this time, but it certainly hasnt always been the case.

Well, since they revamped the ToC there’s actually a table with the times, so anyone stating it can only go based off that, since that’s the public information they put at our disposal… Now whether or not they always consult that table when dishing out their bans… yea that’s a different story.
So I wouldn’t call it “false” but more like… it most likely has exceptions.
But in case you haven’t seen the revamped version, since it wasn’t super long ago, this is what they have atm.

I can tell you one: They want to skew public opinion in their favor. They know Funcom cannot respond publicly to any claims about suspensions or bans. These people don’t want to be seen as cheaters or abusers on their server, because that would invite more reports, and probably longer suspensions in the future. So the narrative that they were falsely banned serves their purposes.
Just because you don’t lie doesn’t mean others don’t. They usually don’t think they’ll get caught lying, especially in a situation where those with the evidence cannot publish said evidence due to privacy regulations.
And in the case of Funcom suspensions, people don’t necessarily lie. They just didn’t think that what they did was wrong because they hadn’t read or understood the Terms of Service. (And because there is some ambiguity, especially regarding building blocking, it’s no surprise some people don’t understand what they did was wrong.)
My first suspension was 1 offending building. It was just when Zendesk was implemented and I actually recieved a detailed explanation.
We had multiple builds and outposts.

“First ban” 
On the server I’m on a couple weeks ago this massive mega base got admin wiped, I assume the builder got a time out; if it has a length of time it is a time out not a ban. The clan is back, building the same way in the same place. Time outs with out a detailed explanation of what rules were broken, and how, teaches no one anything.
There are also those that just can’t believe or wont except they broke the rules.
Every one deserves one.
my bad. I now remeber that time i didnt get a ban, but Funcom gave me free twitter rewards because they investigated me and my clan, because they actually liked our builds instead, so they rewarded us. I have 3 witnesses from my clan who can back it up. So it must be true now.
