How can you make sure that you are in place during a purge?

I saw two different on screen notifications that i “was being invaded by the forgotten clan” or “some kind of gorilla” (i think on the 2nd time) and that I had 10 minutes to get there. 3 minutes later, the purge had been nullified by someone else when I was on the way back to my base.

How can I make sure that I am in place for these purges?
