Had to move my thralls to upgrade building parts. Now they are just standing in place (Guarding or Scouting) or standing at workbenches like they are the old thralls? Am I missing something to get them to return to their former behaviors?
You can place them at a workstation if that is what you would like. Or put them in a chair or bed, or by a fire. Eventually they will go back to behaviors based on their needs, but I don’t know the timer on that. Initially, the timer was very short, maybe 5 minutes. There was a stealth update that reduced how often crafter thralls checked for changing their behavior. They also all do not check every time the timer checks. Some thralls seem to never check and stay sitting, sleeping or at a bench while others move around.
Thanks i’ll try that. They’ve been at workstations since they were just standing around doing nothing. I figure it has something to do with guarding/scouting and i haven’t found a way to cancel that.
Thralls no longer stay at a crafting station more than a moment if there is a chair or similar somewhere. Handling thralls like this will be a painful as herding cats if they now just randomly wander around, blocking placements.
The timer for me was more like 10 seconds. I had a different building some ways off with a bench in front of it, and thrall started walking there. It was so far off I started wondering if it was beyond the 19 square range, ie. if the thrall actually wandered further off than is its “crafting distance”. This warrants further investigation. Its a huge problem if thralls “roaming distance” is further than their “crafting distance”.
I have the same problem with thralls from cages or recruited tavern patrons. They don’t have automatic behaviour at all.
My thralls haven’t moved from their spots in a couple days, like the system shut down or something.
I went to bed. They are still just chilling by the campfire. Gonna just consider them broken. All stations cept Artisan Bench are getting the bonuses. So whatever they can sit around I guess.
