I am not able to play conan exiles in single player as it says that it is connecting to funcom servers and it then says conection failed restart or try again later.

Looks like you have the same problem I do, only for me it’s both single player and online. I am in no way able to play the game.
I’ve seen this has been reported on TestLive, but clearly it’s not only a TestLive issue.
A bug that outright prevents people from playing the game is a critical priority problem that should be hotfixed ASAP. I would very much like to see at least some sort of information like an ETA when can we expect this to be solved.
I have not been able to play since the June patch because of this and have submitted a bug report. The only thing that works for me, and this is only to join a private server, is to turn off battleye. If I do that I can connect to a private server that does not have battleye turned on.
Since I don’t experience this bug, I can’t say if it will be a suitable workaround, but Hades updated his offline mode mod not long ago. It will prevent any online play, but may allow you to run a game in Singleplayer mode. This is only a workaround, not a solution.
