Offline single player game not possible

I know that this topic was already discussed about a year ago, but I have not found any answer from the devs about that or any updated information.

So today we had a very long internet outage but since I most often play conan exiles in single player mode I didn’t expect any problems with that. The game started up without problems, but as soon as I want to continue the single player game I get an “Create session failed” error. I also tried the Steam Offline mode, but that did not make any difference.

So my questions are:

  • Is this a bug or a feature?
  • Will this be fixed?

Since I was not sure about the “bug or feature” I posted it in general discussion…

Just out of curiosity. If one day Funcom decided to cease supporting Conan Exiles, does that mean we will not be able to play the game anymore?

There is a offline mod on the workshop, it seens to work still.

Offline mod by Hades. Works fine.
