I dont understand the bazaar

why say things are on discount when there isnt a place u can purchase things not on discount? and if all the things in the bazaar are always on discount wouldnt that just make their price the normal price? is there a customer service catalog like in fallout 76? also to beat a dead horse the Atlantean Sword and conans royal armor should be a DLC or put in the bazar seems like that would be a great money printer

I agree with every single word you wrote.
Making the Atlantean sword and Royal Armor a bazar thing would seriously upset people who bought into the exclusivity of pre-purchase etc…but yet, I agree with bringing it to the bazar plus a 1h sword version of it.
And they can bring the father sword too while at it.

Your comment resonates with the community’s comments when the Bazar was first released. They had “sales” on items which were brand new to the shop. It was ridiculous. At some point, people got either used to the nonsense or stopped buying.

A catalogue would be very nice
The rotating part could be the bundles or discount items.

As for the Royal Armour and Atlantean Sword…
This one understands a reluctance to market those.
But also, just as we got slight modification versions of items from the Battle Pass (marketed as time limited exclusive) in the Bazaar, why not have a slightly modified version?

Mainly it is a marketing play to disguise the fact that the prices are not as “fixed” and the “discounts” are not as good as they would like you to believe. Or at least one would have to assume that is the case since there is no way to know otherwise.

I have no idea what they have in that game, but people have been begging for a full catalog of BLB items to shop from and only have the home page rotate the “Sales”. But then said sale would actually have to BE sales and the catalog would have to have hard values attached to the items. So maybe that would be why they have not done so.

This would be a reasonable compromise. Not the same items, but slight alterations that are very similar.

Hmm, they’d better remove the bazaar completely and replace it with a themed store with everything categorized like Pictish, Yamatai, Ancient Acheron, etc.

The idea of a bazaar using a rather primitive manipulative manner would more or less suit games in their heyday, but Conan Exiles is, let’s be honest, in its sunset. There are few players, the official servers are nearly empty, and the non-official ones use mods that replace a lot of the stuff from the bazaar with free analogs.

I highly doubt that there are many players who will log into the game for half a year, a year, just to wait in the bazaar for the themed set they need. Most likely, most just get frustrated because they can’t buy what they need right now and leave the game after a while, at best for another 1-2 years, at worst forever.

A theme store, on the other hand, would keep players (especially on official servers) and, given the realities of the current state of the game, would bring Funcom more profit than this bazaar roulette. Because when you have the opportunity to buy everything you need at once, it’s a great motivator to buy it in bulk, build it, be satisfied, and eventually come back after a while. Maybe to try something new (by buying it).

l put it this way, a few days ago I had the desire to play on a new server a certain character concept: a Pictish barbaress, dressed in a Pictish dancer sexy outfit, living in a Pictish hut, with Pictish decor, hunting exclusively with animals as companions… But here’s the problem. I didn’t collect Pictish stuff (I collected Acheron stuff for my current fully corrupted witch). Can I play as I want, here and now, by buying the max coin pack for the bazaar? I’m ready to pay for it… No, I WANT to pay for it.

Nooo, the game tells me, put your money away and get out of here. Collect what you need for months (at best), and maybe then, you can play like you want to. But there’s a problem here, too. This is the desire I have right now. Maybe it stays for another week. Months from now, I’ll most certainly be playing another game, and the current desire will be gone. And Funcom won’t make any money from it. So… a fiery salute to their marketing department, I guess.

I’ll add that the only reason to leave the bazaar as it is is because of the sorta “rarity” of items from there. I don’t think it motivates that many people that much. Like, grabbing everything because who knows when it’ll be there next? Let’s be honest, unless you’re a very wealthy person - this option isn’t for you. Most still count their money and how much they can spend on the game they spend their time in. And for that majority, a store would be much more convenient and in demand than a bazaar. Monetize the majority, not the rich minority. Especially when the total number of players isn’t that large.

Which is not possible with latest stuff that are account locked.

Bazzar store is expensive from start. Once you own few things it gets better. There are same stuff coming back over and over and very little new things.

thanks for all the replys im super new just got the game in the winter sale. would def love to throw more money at this game but beyond the DLC kinda hard to
