I have a question about the map of Conan Exiles

I’m looking forward to the game coming out officially. What I’ve tried thanks to Game Preview on Xbox has left me with a pretty high hype.

However, I have a question to ask.

Does the Conan Exiles map have any inspiration or is there any real location on the Robert E. Howard map?

My guess is based on a paragraph i read in one of the Conan books. There is a reference to an ancient city far to the south of the known lands. It is referred to as the Archeron City and hinted that it harbors dark magics in its ruins.
