its a realistic fishing trap when the water goes up the fishes get trapped inside, at least if it is in the sea. Lmao
Needed to complete the “Drink from a well” journey step, and never bothered dismantling it afterwards.
That was my first though too but you can drink from any players well? This is a pretty populated server and the base next to theirs has a mitra fountain by the front gate lol
If it’s ocean water, that’s technically salty. You can’t drink it… realistically anyway. Probably was afraid.
It’s siptah so yeah… technically its sea water but you can drink as much of it as you like. You might be on to something
I was being a bit snarky… but if that’s really the case, I don’t know what to say.
I got a dockside port town and a well on my base, but it’s more for aesthetic and convenience than actually a necessity. Granted, I don’t have it actually IN the water.
I’m not trying to shame them or anything I just want to know what the logic here is. It reminds me of the time I was playing Timberborn and my beaver died of dehydration in the middle of swimming around in a river. To be fair the game does claim the water is “toxic” but… theres no purification process you just mine it straight out of a river with a pump so it can’t be THAT toxic.
Maybe when they built it the tide was low…
That reminds me of how amusing it is that your CE character can die of thirst during the torrential downpour of a raging thunderstorm.
Course it could be I’m just easily amused.
I suppose someone might do that for aesthetic purposes. As in, make it seem like those buildings were constructed long before there was water there.
Most likely it was for the journey step though.
Definitely an Einstein… just not the well known Albert. More like Frank, who isn’t as well known.
He can be a real monster sometimes though.
Dr. Victor Frankenstein wasn’t a monster though. He just created one.
Could have been built in an area prone to flooding.
Normally, after placing a well it needs some time to fill. This nifty trick can save you some precious time. Amazing!
Climate change. That well was on a mountain 5 minutes ago.
