sometimes i really wish we hade terraform in conan so we could build bigger and better looking buildings/ villages for PVE or PVP or RP and no RP, i build this for few months back and to behonest have so much builing pieces on the ground can take along time to load for some pc, if you could minimize buildings by have terraform to the game i think it could have to have less building loading if you build big also terra form could help alot on making alot and more interesting to build
you could terraform with a shovel you could craft, (here is an example) so you could make a hill and make it flat on top, you could dig a rampart for water, instead of using so many building pieces that you end up at over 100+ some use 1000+ building pieces and having lots of building pieces can bring lag and long loading buildings, but if you can terraform you reduce maybe 50+ or ​​100+ or ​​300 building pieces just to make a great/epic looking building or village
becuse we do not have terraform i hade to use pillars and foundations to make the lvl ground and the middle of the village i hade to put pillats and foundaitions agian to make it more epic looking and find a place to build like this is hard on EL becuse the landscape is up and down constantly,
the hole city on the photo is build on 95% on water so it took me alot of building pieces to build this up but when i was done with it i hade alot of lag problems becuse my pc need to load it all in,
could terraform reduce it all so you have to place less building pieces so you can have high lvl ground bases
should i allso say could be cool to make a come into a mountent if you have a pick so you could do it.

Terraforming seems to be a large or the focus of most games that have it. I definitely see the potential for base building but I am not sure that it truly has a place in the game as it is currently.
What I imagine is at odds with mesh and terrain issues, problems on multiplayer, coding and performance.
i just think it could help alot on the building part becuse people love to build alot big high buildings and you see many love build on a high plat form like a castle and with terraform you could make amazing buildings so its get a better wipe many times i have wished like a dream conan exiles hade terraform the building in the game is fantastick.
maybe its not for the game
Much as I like such systems, that would very likely be a massive undertaking. Like rebuilding the game from scratch massive. Not to mention a dramatic increase in system requirements. So I don’t see it being added any time soon, if ever.
Maybe in Conan Exiles 2, if they ever make one. I have nothing against the idea, conceptually. In fact, I often find myself wishing Conan Exiles had a way to build a cellar or a swimming pool. But, as others already pointed out, this is not something that you can casually bolt onto an existing game.
Things are already bad as they are, with bugs and jank all over the place. Adding a complex system like this would be like pouring gasoline on a dumpster fire.
Even if the situation weren’t as egregious, it would still require a significant overhaul of the existing systems, which requires a lot more effort and time than baking it into your game from the start.
The tech is improving though even cutting edge terraforming games can’t match CE’s graphics. Maybe one day if humankind doesn’t nuke itself back to the stone age. Although in that case we’d have the ultimate survival sim to occupy our time. Always look on the bright side, right?
Terraforming would certainly add some new wrinkles to pvp.
if you can change the terrain it means that every " piece " ( or blocks for minecraft) of terrain must be saved in the database , so it would ask the same computation power ( or even more ) than to calculate your “hard to load” base. as each particle of dirt ( or square of dirt depending on how much precise you want your terraforming tool to be ) will need to be calculated also at each change made , and saved and replicated to all clients . So you want it as a dream but also you wouldn’t want it for conan exiles as of today
as the game is right now no it will not be added but if they make another conan exiles game and doit with a Engine their can handle it with their coding i do hope they try to consider it their building system is one of the best (what i think) compare to other survivel games
The terrain is a static asset. I think you are looking into that aspect. Things are faster when properly baked and seeded (into Resources). There are tools for it.
it would be great , I personally had a lot of fun in Valheim doing various modifications to the terrain.
I’m just afraid that the unreal engine is not built for this and as many people mention it would be a hit to the very base of the game , which is usually a big problem.
But I have to admit that the idea is nice and I could make my “dream” come true and build a replica of our city castle in CE, which unfortunately requires quite specific terrain to look like it should.
Wurm Online has terraforming, is way older than Conan, and has graphics that I would say are significantly better than Valheim (though I have not played Valheim, so I can only judge it by screenshots I can dig up).
If Conan Exiles 2 were to have terraforming, I’d suggest the devs look to Wurm Online for inspiration.
One notable advantage of a game with terraforming is that it makes randomly generated maps easier.

What’s the height limit of terraforming for you? “The Sky’s the limit”?
this is only a idea to the game or if they make another conan exiles
allso funcom have mentioned in their letter they gonna fixc their game now so lets hope they gonna do it.
