Bug Description:
Tested applying illusions to throwing axes and javelins, and found a few issues with them.
- Splitting a stack of illusioned throwing weapons causes the second stack to lose their illusion.
- Throwing any illusioned throwing weapon causes the thrown weapon to revert back to its base appearance.
- If no other weapons with the illusion are held in the inventory, the illusion is lost when a thrown weapon is retrieved.
- Picking up thrown weapons will cause them to fill the first stack available, regardless illusion status, allowing illusion or default to become the other.
- Making something else look like an Akbitanan Throwing Knife causes it to turn invisible in the hand.
- The Unwelcome Gift and Throwing Axe of Nergal cannot stack, which blocks them from illusion with any other throwing axes other than each other.
- If the Unwelcome Gift is given the appearance of Throwing Axe of Nergal, it will look like both weapons simultaneously (see image).
- If Throwing Axe of Nergal is given the appearance of Unwelcome Gift, it turns invisible.
Probably the easy solution is to prevent throwing weapons from being used in illusions, and since they must be transformed at a 1:1 rate (unless #4 above is exploited), it probably isn’t very practical to apply illusions to them anyway.
However, if throwing weapons should be able to have illusions, there are a few issues to work out with them first.
