Initiating forum simulation. Initiating dev letter simulation. Standby

The only thing I want from scenarios is the ability to complete them faster with better gear, just like dungeons.

That is good to hear. Thank you both. Too bad I can’t keep up with how chatty the Discord is.

They more I’ve been thinking about this, the more I can’t get the phrase “throwing them a bone” out of my head.

Hear hear! This sounds very promising!

Thank you, this sounds fun. I look forward to getting crushed…

I wonder if the scenario will be based in Tokyo to follow on from the New England, Egypt and Transylvania versions; ‘The Mansion, ‘The Hotel’ and The Castle’.

The Bath House would make decent location.

Sounds great overall, but I have to wonder if wave durations are still fixed or not. That’s one of the worst things about scenarios right now: no matter how skilled or well-geared you are, you have to spend 11 minutes in there. Will this new scenario mode allow wrecking through it or will we still be subject to a hard time slice?

Curious to know what it’ll be like. I’m imagining Warframe’s Defence missions, but whatever it turns out to be, it sounds like it’ll be a fun game mode.

Thanks for your “informal dev letter” update. I AM EXCITED FOR THIS !!!

Hope you still have in mind to give us group option back, would love it

Exciting news indeed! Thank You for the update, looking forward to the blog post now.

So, old scenarios will disapeared or we will have choice between old and fresh scenarios?

I’m certain it will be a new option as well as the old scenarios.

I was clearly asking about the Blog not any single post - unless there isn’t one?

Hi Tegen - in post #19 in this thread Andy confirmed there indeed is no blogpost about it yet.

The blog isn’t up yet. Andy is working on it still. It’ll be on https://www.secretworldlegends.com/#news when it’s up.

The old scenarios aren’t going anywhere. Aside from a few Quality of Life changes and bugfixes (like “wide” Locusts not being able to be Strange Mutators any more), they are not changing.

I am very happy, very happy to read that. Now I want see more and I am excited for game’s futur.

Thanks at all the SWL team :heart::heart:

Its cool that we are getting something new in terms of a New scenario etc etc, but I wonder is it once you have completed it, is it going to be available to do as with the Current scenario set up ie randomization and wasting x amount of time in order to get or be like the new faction missions where you can go to a board and heaven forbid pick the actual mission you want to run, unlike the inane decision made when it comes to us choosing what scenario or dungeon we want to actually run?

I mean surely by now those choices should be left to the player(s) to decide and not some arbitrary random code which determines what dungeon The game wants us to have , maybe it hasn’t occurred to you the amount of time that is lost when wanting to run content say if you only had a 30 min time window and 10 minutes of that time is lost through just hopping through content that you don’t want before you get the content you do want ,

and also if we can have a max of 40 ( not as if the game is flush with player unless its an event and the numbers soon dwindle back to whatever ) players in a mega boss fight, how about removing the player cap or increasing the player cap even higher that is currently present on zones when it comes to doing lairs,

As I said its great you guys giving us new content, but some QOL choices on existing content would be appreciated . Thanks for reading

It’s a scenario it would be odd if it wasn’t repeatable. Especially since the financial report talked about talked about repeatable content.
Will it be seperate pickable. Who knows? Maybe, maybe not.
The randomization definitly was picked for a reason, while it prevents you from getting specific content it also prevents cherrypicking by people. I mean who would run HR or Castle if they could pick? (knowing well that some people like castle but for example sake lets go with what most people I think dislike). It’s not an inane decision. It’s a tradeoff they decided on and you can cry a river it won’t change.

The player cap has a more technical reason. The engine is just not good for when playeramounts increase, you get stuff like agartha. It’s a wonder megabosses don’t run at 1-2 frames per second, probably due to the fighting arena being so small. But having that translated to the zones…if the zones ran like agartha I would have to stop playing. They run laggy as it is. Sure I am on a potato but many of us are or don’t have a speced out pc. I see not how decreasing the amount of players that can play the game decent is QoL.
