Inventory System

I have been playing this game since release date, and the Inventory system is calling for a well overdue update, as the crafting has became more stressful to use as DLC Content is being released, it would really help more towards end game.
Now i’m not sure if this applies to PC, as you can probably just use your scroll wheel, but for PS4 and Xbox player we don’t have the luxury scrolling that fast through a 40+ rows and columns and it gets really annoying as the DLC Content that Continues to come out (fyi great job by the way) as for me its a must to buy them! Purely just for the looks  but… i really think a better UI should be put into place.
My suggestion would be to filter them into tabs like Weapons, Buildings, Workbenches ect… Similar to the Admin Panel but just more neat. This way you don’t have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find a bedroll to create.
What are your guys thoughts on this?

I likey, it gets really stressful when you are being chased and you don’t have a bedroll.

2nd tab, in top would help. (Tab would be to turn off certain recipes, or items) It would help clear up so much. Specially when you don’t need 7 types of foundations in menu when roaming map and just need a torch. XD

PC user got working search at top, console users kinda get shaft there… I would love less clutter everytime I pop open menu itself.

I support this 100%, they could make it like the work bench from fallout 4 when you are building for building purposes and for your own inventory and crafting they could allow you to have a tab for dlcs, tools, weapons etc. Or hide items and recipes we don’t need.

Well, this was what I did after release! I even tried to remember where in the list to find important or often used things like sandstone pieces for example, but with every DLC those recipes move to another position.

The best way to handle this atm is to type the first letters in the search bar.
Because of a past bug with localization and the event log I had to switch to english for along time, now i am back to german, and i always get confused with those names now…

So since it is already a pain in the a. with the scroll wheel, I cannot imagine how you guys on consoles manage even without it!

Ye Pc can tackle it a bit better with the search bar, consoles don’t even have a search bar not even after the recent patch. I wouldn’t even mind just a simple search bar to start off with but in general I think the whole system still needs some TLC from funcom

There’s loads of simple solution the only thing is with this idea there might be too many workbenches then, there’s already a new workbench everytime a dlc comes out, they could introduce the building materials into each of the artisan table but then I think we would find ourselves into the same situation just in a different area.

Even on computers, it gets annoying. I would suggest making a “Hide DLC content” checkbox-button in the inventory.

Also another great idea for improvement

I would love to see something like this put into place. On PC, I purchase as few crafting perks as I can (especially after drinking yellow lotus potion) to minimize how cluttered the crafting screen gets. Above the crafting selection menu, there is a checkbox toggle for each category, but it still displays all items. It only highlights the selected category and darkens those not selected. There is a search menu, which helps greatly, but only if you know what word(s) to type in the search bar.

A tabbed or toggle menu in the crafting section that displays only items that fit the selected category and does not display items that don’t fit the selection would be a very welcome addition, imo.
