Yep, some sort of system to make crafting menus easier to navigate would be very welcome. This has been suggested many times and Funcom is very aware of the difficulty caused by all the DLC items in the crafting menu.
I don’t think it’s on the top of their priority list, but at least they know we want it.
My dream is a fully customizeable tab system we could order the way we like, similarly to how we can arrange our inventories how we like, but with multiple tabs. People have different preferences on how they want to organize things and different logics on what they perceive as “order”. Letting players make their own menus would let everyone choose the way that’s best for them.
Yes, what @Kapoteeni said. If I could just manually clean up that menu like you can the inventory I would be quite happy. Gets really annoying having to scroll through everything to make a campfire. I could make one faster in real life XD
Might be easier to create a favorites tab on the crafting side of inventory. Maybe 10 slots? This way one can favorite recipes from the main tab they are going to use more commonly or on a project. And a reset favorites option so you can start fresh if you were changing projects/wants.
making sorting folder is not impossible but current system of items are not supporting pages … hell i would even go as far … as its just straight up hard to work with since UE4 structure variable are not array able without heavy work in C++ .
in a perfect world id like to see a Plus folder with its own inventory management with custom building logic coding to use. And i know how much a pain that is … as i just gotten into sorting out the item table base on Lettering first one into its own array … i imagine just alot of data array and coding. and the fact that data storages for item are not expose to us modder in the form that id wish … it would be impossible to do so
