You’re right. It has turned into kind of a b**** session. I do want the changes to be made problem is is I have personally made several threats before and have been told buy a couple of the big dogs if I want a discussion I had to come over here because I couldn’t Post in PS4 bugs. I don’t dismiss the things they’re saying they seem very rhetorical and avoiding the matter Which to me feels like a cop-out. As Big Dave said the biggest issue here is the lagging performance and that has been around since day one. Which unfortunately means nothing will ever be done about it. Then they’re going to add a cap that will do absolutely nothing for the immortal thralls that don’t die. As said before by one of the others these are simple fixes but nothing’s ever been done about them. Which in turn makes me feel like funcom just don’t want to do their job. So I’m sorry if I seem like a bit of a Sour Puss but I feel like some of them are trying to push me away from the thread so this issue can be ignored and so once again my thread will go away after the 7 days. I know I’d rather have 50 thralls then 25 of them doing stretches. Because I’m pretty sure there stretches provide their own amount of server lag because movement causes lag. They keep adding stupid stuff instead of fixing the problems at hand. So I’m a little bent and I’m sorry if I have made this more of a negative post. I’ve taken pictures I’ve provided the evidence of the problems at hand and I have seen several posts throughout funcom forums with the same issues yet nothing’s ever done about them. So to be told I haven’t done my research kind of pissed me off a little because I play on a daily basis and have researched many and many of videos and posts. I play on a PS4 Pro not some high-end PC and I believe that we should have the same play ability as anybody else. There’s nothing more frustrating then constantly having the Remake all of your stuff and go get all your stuff because you starve to death five times just trying to load into the game. I have hundreds of other games I could play with fewer issues yet I choose this one because I enjoy it I just don’t enjoy the hundreds of issues in this game.
Next to the Thrall cap there is still a Thrall Decay which is about 14 days? (I don’t know exactly). So if you are not visiting the server the Thralls should die after 14 days. I am a server admin of a private server and the Thrall decay does function without issues on our server.
That used to crack me up. I remember just after the official release when people would tell me that the problem was all my PC…even though I knew better. I’d be watching a dev stream and see the same things happening on their hardware. Then this little thread came out back in December '18, started by them, showing that a lot of people were having performance issues. I must say, I felt a little vindicated after taking so much flak from other fans and once being told my claims were hyperbole by a Funcom representative.
And people would and still say it’s all “your PC”. Not so. Over the months I’ve read countless forum posts here and on other sites that speak of performance issues across a wide variety of hardware.
Then there’s the bugs and glitches which, for some reason, some of the fan base is excusing and making excuses for. In nearly 20 years of gaming on and off line, I’ve never had a game in this kind of shape a year and a half after it’s official release. It’s unacceptable. Go buy any other product…a TV, a car, security software, a bicycle…anything with problems; and have the manufacturer constantly tell you “We’re aware of it and we’re working on it.” for 18 months while nothing is really getting fixed and more problems are introduced when patches, updates, and hot fixes are released. In the meantime, you’ve passed the point of being able to get a refund because you believed the devs would make it right. How is this remotely acceptable for some people whether it’s a game or any other product?
So here we are a year and a half later with another person feeling the need to make a post such as this because of his love for the game and his wanting to see it come to it’s full potential; here we are with other fans giving him flak even though this forum might be his only outlet for the frustration. And here we are again with a pending update that, to me, looks like it’s gonna create even more problems than it fixes.
I, for one, appreciate what you’re trying to do here n2wichita75. I’ve carried that mantle myself and know how aggravating and frustrating it is. It all drove me to remove the game from my high end PC and simply watch these forums in hopes that one day, the game will be a good working finished product. The light at the end of my tunnel is that there are new games coming soon that I have my eye on. Funcom had a potential GotY. It breaks my heart that the Conan franchise didn’t get to see that happen.
I’ll take responsibility for making you angry. My asking you to do your research was not meant to do that: it pertained specifically to two of the issues you’d brought up. As in, if you’d gone through the usual bug reporting processes, you’d have searched on the specific items prior to posting a Bug Report. Alternatively, if you hadn’t done your research and posted a BR anyway, it likely would’ve been closed with an “asked and answered” linked response.
There are several known issues with the PS4 Pro. Two of them, if I recall correctly, can cause endless load screens and Death Lag. Please bear in mind that while I am a PS4 player I do not have any direct experience with the PS4 Pro, but as the game is in parity with the PC I can say I’ve been through enough testing environments and conditions that direct me toward two places to look. One is your network and the other is your hard drive/data bus.
People over in the PS4 Bug Reports section do this all day. File a full bug report with the portion I quoted above as the description. You’ll be glad you did.
Maybe you don’t remember me. My last post was in ps4 bugs and it had alot of these same issues but the title was predatory blade repair issue. You told me to make a general discussion thread.
Ive played both those games and to be quite frank they are boring now.
Did Diablo 2 hardcore for years.
Nowadays a game needs to be dynamic and challenging. Conan exiles provides this.
I can modify the game i see fit with a free dev kit.
What happens to me will not happen to the next person as we make up our own quests for the day.
To top it off i can be killed at anytime.
Soooo all these points outweigh some of the problems youve experienced and i havent.
I play single player, multiplayer, started PvP characters and private server . All crash reports get sent to Funcom. Ive crashed a grand total of 5 times in a year and 3 of those times in the last 6 weeks or so.
Understandable considering the content released.
And im monologuing again.

You must play pc. Because on ps4 we don’t get a free dev kit. Each platform is different. But one thing remains the same and thats lag and performance issues. The most challenging thing for me on Conan Exiles is trying to get past the loading screen without starving to death. I have the highest Internet speed offered by C.o.x and that’s Gigablast. New modem and new cable installed last week. Doesn’t matter if i use the 500 gig ps4 or the ps4 pro, same issues occur. Reset my system because nothings rendering in and now can’t get past the loading screen. Yet if i submit an official server report. Sometimes i get in and sometimes i don’t. Sometimes if i go to another server and come back it works sometimes it don’t. The load on this is so high it sounds like both my ps4’s are about to take off flying. But when it loads correctly they sound just fine.
Maybe its my own opinion but i think alot of it is g portals used up servers and funcoms lack of wanting to buy their own servers and provided maintenance. As well as the lack of wanting to spend the time and money to fix these reported issues.
Restarted ps, submitted reports and logged in on other servers with no avail. Still stuck in loading. Server ping 147 official 3502. PVE from PS4.
First time i played this game i did. Hasn’t happened on this server yet thankfully.
Starting to think I’d have better luck playing the Lottery than i am loading into Conan Exiles. Lol

And for me the loading isn’t as much the issue as losing all my gear. Hours of farming gone due to the inability to login. Where simply allowing a clan mate to recover my items for me would make this issue almost non existent.

Every time new patch came out, and I listed several issue I found. I was told to make a thread in bug section for each one. Itlest use search bar to make sure it isn’t already reported. In which case, join that thread and hand in any info you can.
This way, if a Dev needs any info about a Bug, its in One Thread, About The One Issue. And not a jumble of posts about several issues…
I got about half way thru, and basically thought… reported…reported…already reported. Then kinda quick read to spots were people said same, Join other threads on these issues and help kill them off.

At this point. I’ve come to the realization that, if It’s been this way since day one. Then not a single, double nor multiple thread is going to get it fixed. They only care about making money. Not losing it. Be prepared cause we all know its going to break something else in December. Their idiots who need you to tell them how to fix it. As long as it doesn’t cost them money. Ban me? Let me do one better. How do i remove my account? From my experience these posts go no where. Any way you do it. This is the only Funcom game i do and will ever own. Good game ran by a bad industry. Funcom is like McDonald’s. You don’t expect quality. You just expect quick, easy and cheap.

Why is it games like paladins Dungeon Defenders and Neverwinter all free games with less cash flow than Funcom perform better?
Just a thought with salt being a dehydrate. Wouldn’t it make more sense for the trees in shattered springs to be dry wood?
