My Funcom ID was automatically set to the name of my Steam account and I’d like this changed as I’d like to use a different name in the game than on Steam. I have seen from other threads that tickets do not usually receive replies and so I’m trying my luck here. Would it be possible to have my ID changed?

Two of my friends have been successful in changing their Funcom IDs via Zendesk. File a ticket there and provide the Funcom ID you currently have and the one you want it changed to.
It can take some time but if they send you a copy/paste response that they’re overwhelmed, reply to the email.

Oh I did send a ticket already, I just thought it wouldn’t do much so I made a forum post on top. From what I’ve read they only provide an ID change for very specific reasons which makes me think I likely won’t get one.

For my friends it was a real name issue and harassment. So it really depends.

Yeah, those are usually the reasons for the case-by-case changes. I doubt simply wanting to use a different name will be valid.

Showing your private steam account name (profil) publicly on official Funcom server could be seen as invasion of privacy.
You can argue that displaying your steam identity openly makes you vaulnerable and a target for harrassment attacks and stalking and it invades your right of privacy.
