Is SWL still available?

I’ve tried to install SWL via your site and via Steam, and I keep hitting technical problems.

For example, via Steam I keep getting the error: “There was an error while displaying this EULA. Please try again”

When I try to install via the DOWNLOAD SWL link in the email you sent, no download starts.

When I try to install via the secretworldlegends website, I also get an error.

Any suggestions?

(If links would help you track down the problem, I can send them, but links are not allowed in this forum)

If this means the game is no longer supported, could you remove it from Steam and from links on your websites?

The problem is definitely on your end. I have been playing on steam just fine and I know people who are using standalone client.

I believe you need some reading time or something like that to unlock permissions on the forums, you should be able to post screenshots of the errors though, that would be a good first step in troubleshooting.

There are a few broken links, but the game is still up and running. For Steam, the only thing that fails is the EULA itself. If you “blindly” accept it, it’ll proceed.

For the standalone client, the download link right at the top of the SWL website works just fine.

Note that the Steam and standalone clients use different account systems. You cannot freely switch between the two once you’ve made your choice.

Please ensure that you are trying to install from this website: https://account.secretworldlegends.com/

Can you tell us more about the error message you see when trying to install the game?

The link on the account website is one of the broken ones.

Indeed, the Download button on the top of the SecretWorldLegends.com homepage is a working link: https://web-cdn.funcom.com/downloads/swl/SecretWorldLegendsMin.exe

The Download Client button under Account Services at Funcom - Account Management however leads to the following download link that as of this moment does not currently work: https://patch.funcom.com/downloads/swl/client/SecretWorldLegends.exe

While opening the client download link in a new tab works for some of the broken client download links, it won’t work for the one under Account Services. It will hopefully be fixed, but there’s still the homepage download link you can use.

Download the standalone client of Secret World Legends through the Download button on the top of the Secret World Legends homepage, or directly through the link HERE: https://web-cdn.funcom.com/downloads/swl/SecretWorldLegendsMin.exe

As for the Steam EULA error, you can click okay and it’ll keep going. Steam’s looking for EULAs uploaded to Steam. Everyone playing SWL through Steam received that warning not too long ago when Steam made the EULA view changes, but it’s nothing to worry about even though it is a bit spooky to see.

Secret World Legends is indeed buzzing along! Come sharpen the dream with us. :bee:

Thank you for the update. I can confirm that the download link from the account page is not working. We will ask our developers to fix this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the workaround Vomher mentioned above does work. You can use the “Download” link at the top of this page: https://www.secretworldlegends.com/
