The bug immediately occurs it says fatal error the minute I play for just a couple seconds in the game crashes and says fatal error I’m not sure what’s actually causing it though I am running a AMD graphics card and my drivers are up to date I just recently updated them I have a 5500 XT 4 GB in a ryzen 3600 and 16 gigs of RAM at 3000 MHz and dual channel for the ram I don’t know exactly what caused the issue but I uninstalled the game and completely cleared out the folders.
Same happens to me since last update. Are you playing the GamePass/Windows store version?
**I’m actually running the steam version of Conan I got it for like 10 bucks when I was on sale my also did update my driver’s recently for AMD from the current version I was running and none of my other games have issues I have noticed even when I validated the files the game was still lagging and single player so I uninstalled the game completely and cleaned up all the folders and even the registry keys related to the game I removed them completely and reinstall the game I haven’t tested it yet to find out if it was crash if it crashes again I’m the only thing I can think of it’s the game itself my computer is pretty much clean and virus free I normally don’t install mods or any form of other software I rely on Windows defender as my main maybe and nothing else.
My situation is similar, but running the Gamepass version. Of course it is not my computer, no issue with any other game and I exceed the minimum specs by far.
In GP version I cannot use mods, but, by default, it uses a “Regional Specific DLC” which cannot be disabled. Might be that is behind the crashes, no idea.
**I got the game for like around $10 on steam it was on a discount and it’s just the standard game without any DLCs included it’s basically the vanilla version without the DLCs installed furniture cleaning install currently since I reinstalled it but the only thing I can think of the game having issues could be more related to maybe save file issue corruption maybe with it constantly creating backups I do know that creates quite a bit of backups often I’ve even gone in the folder and seeing several I don’t know if that’s causing a problem or the engine itself is just normally unstable currently I’ve heard there’s quite a bit of bugs though that are currently found in Conan and this could just be another bug that hasn’t been found I mean it’s hard to say exactly what’s causing it I know that it’s definitely not my computer because other games like elder scrolls online doesn’t have any issues Jurassic world evolution 2 doesn’t have any issues Minecraft has no issues some of my other games I play like 7 Days to die has no issues whatsoever with the game with my computer running they seem to not even crash I even have ark survival evolved the original game and that thing doesn’t even crash at all one bit so it can be anything else it could be more related to the engine or a bug that’s currently being found in the game that hasn’t been solved it’s hard to say exactly.
You may check the integrity of your save file.
Into the installation folder of your game, go to ConanSandbox\Saved. There you will find “CheckGameDB.bat”
Locate the save.db file or files you want to check, copy them into the folder where the CheckGameDB.bat is, and then double click on the CheckGameDB.bat file to execute it. It will check your save.db files and if they are fine you will see “OK” in the console window.
In my case the save.db is fine, but the crashes are there, over and over again. BTW, it never happened this way before latest patch.
**I found the file that you were talking about I kind of fell asleep last night but early in the morning I checked it and it seems to be everything’s okay I did find that file that you were talking about the bat file everything came up with okay and there was no issues found so the only thing I can think of is it might be the game itself or the engine that it’s using it’s hard to say but the game itself just crashed on me just today when I reinstalled it yesterday I haven’t even started the game yesterday until today so it seems every file is not corrupted according to the game check DB bat file seems like everything’s okay it says and there’s no issues found so I’m not exactly sure what’s going on here I know my computer is actually clean cuz I don’t install anything but games from steam specifically I don’t download any other programs on my computer specifically except for my graphics card drivers and I recently updated them so the only thing I can think of it could be just the game could have some issues somewhere or has a paddle ability issue with AMD graphics cards specifically but it’s really hard to say exactly what’s causing it to my opinion I’m not really sure but I’ve done it several checks DirectX testing system to find out if my graphics card had any issues and nothing came up but everything was fine and everything was clean so it may just be the game itself might have some issues currently.
Without any doubt, it is the game and the way it handle its resources. I have more than 1500 hours on it, and yes, it crashed from time to time. But after the last update it became simply unplayable.

After reinstalling the game yesterday I didn’t play it yesterday but I started playing it today for 3 hours and it just crashed randomly but I have noticed lag here and there occasionally and single player I also noticed like I don’t know cuz it’s definitely not my graphics card costing the issues because I’ve noticed that other games I play don’t have the same issue with texture color but I started seeing a little bit of purple mixed with lights when it when the game loads in when I hit continue into the game instead of hitting launch from the launcher itself cuz I know there’s two options there’s like launch and they continue I normally go to continue I’m not sure if that’s causing issues since it loads you directly into the game into your game save file from your last playthrough and after 3 hours it just randomly crashed on me for the first time after reinstalling the game and I have no mods installed or anything so I’m not exactly sure what’s causing it and I know my 5500xt according to several websites it does meet the system requirements for the game that I actually meet the minimum as well as the recommended so I’m not exactly sure what’s causing it cuz I know there’s no issues with my graphics card at all or even the driver because all of my other games don’t show these issues just this game seems to have some problems currently and it might be related to the update that was released currently that could be causing problems and sometimes and I do know that there are bugs that appear in games often after update and it’s even possible that it might be undiscovered of a bug there could be causing issues that hasn’t been found before I do know that updates can cause problems occasionally I mean I mean you even have issues with Windows 11 with massive updates coming through that occasionally cause problems and I’m on Windows 10 and I often don’t counter issues in a lot of my games a lot of games I play are pretty much stable.
**I went ahead and reported this by using the AMD report tool that’s built into Windows for my graphics card settings and reported Conan exile with performance issues hopefully they’ll look it up and find out and do some testing and see if the game is having some issues on their end and if they find any issues they’ll likely send up a patch to have it more optimized to run perfectly on AMD graphics cards it’s really hard to say what’s truly causing it though I don’t know if it’s AMD or if it’s the game itself I know my computer is not having any issues cuz I haven’t had any blue screens of death at all so or no corruption on my operating system but I think for the time being I’ll probably just let time pass by and take a break from Conan exile for a while until the game kind of gets itself fixed I wish you to have a good day my friend be safe.
That purple color while loading textures is not related to your AMD card, I have Nvidia and it does the same.
I have had this issue since January. I have had no issues playing the game up until then. It crashes with Fatal Error on launch as the intro video plays. I’ve since found that it only happens if linked to the Funcom Servers. If you load the game with your internet turned off, it opens up fine to the main menu. Some people have then said when you plug your internet back in, you just connect to their servers then. However on mine, it then instantly crashes with the same fatal error. It’s clearly linked to the Funcom servers. Something they have done means that thousands of players cannot connect. However other than accepting bug reports, they seem to be doing nothing about it.
I am having an issue aswell. Might be a different issue, but I have verified game files, disabled antivirus, Graphics drivers are up to date. Literally no reason for this to be happening. I get d3d device Lost error and it closes. I have played many hours on this machine (though I did upgrade to this hardware last month) and only after this most recent update am I getting crashes. I know it is not an issue with the unreal engine, as I play 7 days to die, which is built on the unreal engine and that game is completely fine.

CPU: Ryzen 9 7950x3d
GPU: AMD Radeon 7900XTX GPU (Reference card, No overclocking)
I am hoping, I keep sending the reports to funcom, that this issue with the game itself will be resolved. I just bought the yamatai pack.
edit: I have played probably 40 hours on this new hardware. However, this week I go to play and it crashes.
