Ladders & Climbing

As it is now, ladders are purely a cosmetic addition to building. I’d like to see them actually have a function, namely reducing or eliminating climbing cost. Perhaps even speeding climbing up a bit. We’ve got fence pieces that hurt us when climbed on, so it shouldnt be too far fetched.

They would need to be way less janky to place first however, and be able to be placed where a hatch frame isnt, as to let us place them up bare walls.

Forgive me @tobbiusness, but I don’t believe a similar post was open for exactly the same reason a couple weeks ago. I remember making jokes with @darthphysicist about stair climbing :rofl::rofl:.
Since we are back in this, let’s laugh a bit

Oh yea, definitely!
It’s actually ridiculous when you start climbing on the ladder and your character accidentally veers off path and starts climbing on the wall with the same effort…
Could you imagine that in real life?.. Like… grandpa Joe age 80 climbing up to the loft on a ladder and suddenly starts doing parkour by accident?

Really? It doesn’t surprise me honestly. I thought the exact thing ever since I made my first ladder a billion years ago.

If the other thread is still open, tomorrow admins probably will transfer it to the other . Yet no worries :+1:t6:.

Ladder on hatch work well when you dont want them to reach center easily.
