… and get my azz handed to me by the gorilla boss.
I brought in danilisa with crom sword in silent legion. Put myself in hyperborian heavy with adventure blade, 30 vit, 40 str…
Face tanked like a newb and got worked. Toe to toe we got him down to 10% in one bout.
Spent the next hour dying naked to wolves, running back from my base dying to panther boss and wolves, rinse repeat, until f8nally I re-equiped and slow crawled to my corpse.
I was waaaay over confident here. Mind you, I don’t raise pets, I just wanted the altar for my villagers.
But man, why is heavy hyperborian feel like paper armor?
I can kill the great red mother pretty easy, so this dungeon made me question my prowess.
I can make flawless darfari, but please eli5 why I suck at pve lol
I’m on a pve c, so I’m looking fwd to some epic PvP skirmishes as well.
Last time I had a run in that dungeon was 1 week / 10 days ago, I was helping a 35 lvl player doing it for the first time.
And that Gorilla surprised me with an attack I never noticed before: a long jump + wham wham wham like it was planting you in the ground like an hammer with a nail.
So I learned to dodge not in a straight line but laterally
I risked dying, I survived and we completed the dungeon.
Now you have to pay attention, each fight, I don’t think it’s a problem of armor, but a problem of being too self confident regarding fights that was easy before.
Because you know: if a thrall wearing a silent legion but never avoiding a single hit lose up to 1k hp or more in a boss fight, hey they are more dmgs than your health x2, so you can’t do the same
Valid point. I do enjoy the difficulty, but usually venture out once every 3 days when not working on my base, so not used to it. Need to get out there and stretch more often
