Living settlements weaponized incompetence

“Weaponized incompetence,” also known as strategic or manipulative incompetence, is a tactic where someone deliberately performs poorly or feigns inability to avoid responsibility, shifting the burden onto others.

This will be one of the few topics I will post that bridges the gap between pve and pvp players.

Why hasn’t anyone considered adding a radial option for thralls to turn their AI (Living settlement) function off?

Me: “Jon the Tinker I would like you to stay on the furnace to keep me warm and the lights on.”

Jon: “Nah bruh, that brazier on the corner needs me.”

Me: “Ok buddy, if I didn’t need to you to make bricks, I would turn you into a rug.” Locks the door

Jon: “Pfft, i got this.” Runs out the door soon as I open it to leave

Me: Runs around the entire claim disabling anything and everything interactable “Fine.” Proceeds to wander around the claim area farming a bit of materials and decides to check on Jon.

Jon: Laughs in Funcom Meanwhile on a different brazier or a chair or some random other thing and perhaps for no reason at all decides o.f.o. is a better choice than following orders.

Me: Le sigh “Oubliette has a nice ring” Creates a nice prison with a chair

Jon: Deadfaced “You are not the boss of me!” Decides he doesn’t like his new arrangements and magically ports himself out, in doing so teaches all the other goomba’s to do the same.

Me: Looks in the storage box for another smelter and a spot for a new rug

Its not weaponised, its simply Funcom being cheap and lazy. When Doon comes out I’ll intentionally give them as little $ as possible. No DLC’s. ever. Theyre a pack of aholes.

Update: Jon has died. Doesn’t say how in the logs but, by Crom he lived by his own rules until the very end.

Just place them when you need to farm “resources” from patrons. That is all I find the tavern system good for these days, bringing the farm to you. The bar countertop has 4 chairs one gets taken by the town lush. The patrons are fodder for the empire with the occasional T4 that might show up as you cycle them.

Somehow bartenders are least likely to go for random walk into mouth of nearby crocodile.

As for tavern patrons - most reliable source of sacrifices for the purposes of sorcery you could wish for.

… And you missed the opportunity to make him a rug :rofl::rofl::rofl:.
Unfortunately on pvp you have to fix an artificial basement, without stairs and doors and place all your crafters there, if you won’t they will open your doors to all your “visitors”.
