Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvE
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: Rum Pirates
Mods: Navigator, Emberlight, Nat’s Trees, Emus Ember Crops Continued
Bug Description:
Login in - Mixmatch Mod page
Bug Reproduction:
When I go to login it takes me to the mix match mod page. I click the two boxes, hit connect and the game restarts and I am able to login. I made sure all the mods are updated so why am I getting this screen? It’s annoying as hell.
I got this recently too. I ended up havinf to go through all local INI files to try finding where some mod ‘cache’ file was that the game must have been referencing in error. I ended up removing all mods, starting as solo, no-mods and then back in with all the mods back and it worked.
I do not know that this is the only or best way to get around this annoying issue. Funcom must have introduced something somewhere resulting in this. My guess is that someone unfortunately did not reset some setting that flushed some file somewhere.
(hopefully some Funcom Support person will feedback a proper solution to this)
Thanks for the response. The service provider moved us to a new server and it was reset. The admin had already added the mods so I made sure they were up to date and still I get this. Like you said hopefully Funcom will come up with a solution.
Your server Admin may need to re-run or reload all the mods on the server and then all the players delete all their mods from their …\steamapps\workshop\content\440900 folder and then Verify the game. This may resolve it.
The moment mods are involved, Funcom is out of the loop.
You can also run a local, solo game without all your mods and see. Then add your mods back and run solo. Then, with the mods loaded, try your server.
Tip: your local modlist.txt file is usually in the following folder:
…\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Mods
Of course, make a backup of the modlist.txt before removing its content - saves time
