Lone Fisherman becomes more lonely when knocked out

I knocked the Lone Fisherman out on its island and it just sunk into the ground and kept going. I’ve already solved getting the thrall again, but this isn’t the first time someone has sunk into the ground while unconscious, I don’t remember exact details because it’s been a few months since I was even on before the update.


Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Knock out Lone Fisherman next to her fire in Sepermeru
    2.Cannot grab with bindings as they sink into the ground

There are two easy ways to fix this.

  1. Relog. Seriously, log out and then back in and your thrall will be back.
  2. Run away. Move out of the area and then run back and your thrall should be back.
    Both of those have worked great for me but I usually use option 2 as it’s quicker.

I’ve seen this happen on several characters. I found that you can “fix” it by running away far enough that the game engine thinks you’re out of clipping range, and then turning around to run back to that spot. Then the knocked-out mob is lying on the ground as expected.

while I appreciate the steps on how to “fix” the issue, I had already said it was solved.
what I should’ve added in my original post was that I was mainly reporting to keep awareness that the bug is still there, since it still seems to persist. Don’t want some of the old bugs that still need fixing lost in the woodwork because of the new update debates, because there’s a good few bugs that have survived too many updates, and I don’t just mean the spiders in-game. :joy: :joy:

I agree it is always good to keep things like this on the devs minds but not everyone is aware of how to “fix” things like this, especially new players who might be looking for answers and finding your post which is why I put those steps up. But I also think that things which have in game “fixes” like this are also low priority in the eyes of the devs so knowledge to the player base is key.
