I’ve bought the Isle of Siptah edition recently and today the game crashed. I’ve submitted the error report and restarted the game. The crash seems to be a heavy one:
A prompt about reset attributes due to the significantly re-designed attribute system welcomed me on the screen
Despite level 60 still being recognised as achieved, there is only one attribute point available
My character was naked, all armor, weapons, harvesting tools gone
All traveling steps were reset and I’m supposed to check out the fire in the south again
All info on the map is gone
My Rhino-Mount is gone as well
Some stations like Dryer, Sorcerer bench, … lost what they had “in stock” (Book of Kurak for instance, some pages with spells…)
Some Thrall assignements / receips seem to have been “forgotten” despite the Thralls still being around
Some items got duplicated, some are gone
Sorting of some chests and stations got reset to default, for some it’s still as I’ve set them up
My base is still in place, most of the thralls, stations too. Knowledge looks fine too, I believe.

Dude, something similar happened to me. I lost most of my buildings. The items went into bags, and I lost my knowledge points (it still showed that I had them, but the knowledge itself was as if I had just started). I lost ALL my knowledge of dictionaries, sorcery, scrolls… everything.
All that was left was my few minions, and what equipment and weapons I and they had.
I managed to get my knowledge back using the potion to redistribute the points. As for the knowledge I had, like what I got from reading scrolls or dictionaries, I’m having to redo it all.
As for sorcery, I can’t relearn it anymore. Even if I get the Tome of Korak. It shows that you get the tome, but it doesn’t say “learned basic sorcery”.
For me the potiion to redistribute the attribute points didn’t work as the game is of the opinion, that I have just one available, although it says I’m level 60 with over 7 Mio XP on the other screen.
It’s actually insane to publish such a fragile game without the built-in functionality to
save manually and to
load a previously saved “snapshot” manually in case of an emergency. on PC it’s at least possible via the file system
Wish I had done some research before the purchase, like I do with other things. It was never needed for games before this one…
