Love the new Pictish dancer Armor

Other than the alligator jawbones, this set is very well made. Each piece gives +5 agility weapon damage.

None of the pieces with the exception of the wrist guards is dyable, so if green is your color, be happy.
The headdress definitely gives an artificial height look, especially on the tall males.

I don’t think it’s for me personally, but I like the fact it looks very different. This and the dance moves look very tribal.

Health bars aside, might even be useful for sneaking around in the bushes :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It looks very primitive, I love it.

Where or what is the advantage?

You can dye it. Proof:

This is basic. The Highest agility armor gives +8 on each piece.

Oh nice. I checked it last night and it didn’t have dye slots but clearly you can. Did you do anything special? Is that the epic or non-epic? Perhaps I spawned the wrong one and one has broken noodles.

@LostBrythunian new info

Yes, pre-dye your armor then apply the dancer set as transmog. It will take over the dyes.

You need to experiment a bit to figure out which slot changes what.

Ah okay so the armor itself is not dyed (but the handslots are) but clearly since it transfers, there is a mechanism to change the color hooked in. Thanks.

I am glad you showed that picture, I was wanting to dye it white but changed my mind, it looks horrible, lol.

On a similar note, I was thinking since last night what dye jobs I would apply to it but couldnt think of what I would do that would look good uniformly. The green leaves look great and the only thing I could think of was if I could mix in browns but its probably all or nothing…

I was thinking more a Masai look, with red, brown, and yellow.

That would look awesome.

He’s saying it is not pay to win…le sigh.

Does this work with other sets and illusions?
This one recalls dye not transferring early on and then not putzing around with it.

Excellent find.

Also, @darthphysicist, thank you for drawing this one’s attention back here.

First, I like the look. It has a nice Samoan/Hawaiian flair to it. However, the Picts, although in reality were traditionally in Scotland, Howard had them in the northeast US area of Hyboria, so Palm fronds and shark jaws just don’t fit. Had this been Barachan or Punt no problem, since the Barachan Islands are in the Caribbean, and the Punts lived around the southern Africa area.

The only thing I can dye is the strap on the hands.

EDIT: And then I got further into the post.

You can dye parts of armors like that where the dye slots are usually not available.

Best example is the Zamorian Thief armor.

Pictish Wilderness isn’t that far from the Barachan Isles to which they had access through somewhat ‘friendly’ terms with Zingara (they weren’t friends, but they weren’t hostile either). The lands of Scotland, the whole British Isles, and pretty much all of Europe were under glacial ice. They were definitely close enough to such climates.

Besides, its Exiled Lands. What do you think the picts would wear in the the eastern Jungle? Animal skins and furs in that humidity? The Nordheimers and Cimmerians found there don’t wear their typical garb for that reason.

Hey @JJDancer ,

I did white blue white blue for this

EDIT:
This is layered over Voidforged Dragon armor, so, she is wearing roughly 1800 HP.
As I said, I alternated the color in the slots prior to hitting the sorcery. I plan to do better testing with armor pieces that all have at least 4 dye slots to see exactly what slot colors what part of the outfit.
