You can vent without repeatedly directly insulting the people behind the game
It’s been worked on and improved continually. Just because it’s not 100% is dishonest to say they’re not working on it. And again, see my previous comments. If you’re gonna attack the code directly with your piss-poor forum post, show that you’re capable of doing better. You can talk out your ass all day but that doesn’t make you better than them.
I think this may be a personal hardware problem, not a company software problem, as me and many others on the Xbox series S|X are not experiencing this, and many other rendering issues after upgrading systems.
the ‘put up’ would be my 35+ years as a client/server dev in the field running numerous teams and being CTO 3 times over. of course, having stated that will just result in claims of bragging or some other bs from people who’ve done less.
there’s zero need for any USER to have such qualifications in order to EXPECT the game support BASIC functionality… like standing on solid ground.
So to answer the original post. It largely has to do with calculations on network versus client. The thrall is still there when knocked out it just your client side for some reason the ue4 code for physic to ground seem to miss fire and goes through the ground I promise ya if you just relog your npc is still there knocked out. There no fix for this other then maybe get rid of physic ragdoll and then have the knock out to be an animation instead to end with physic suspension for a few second.
It just nature of ue4.15.3 native code … it just cant handle physic as you say. Though I am quite I interested in seeing what you do in dev kit to prove the case that you think will help. Or provide examples on what you means I’m just relaying the original head dev told many of us
one issue we dealt with at ML was the models center not being in the same spot. this resulted in models not sitting in the exact spot they’re supposed to. fixing that helped fix a number of problems.
i’ve never looked to see how models in conan are centered or whether or not that would impact whether or not the physics engine would push it further into a solid.
Well the dev kit for the game is free to test your theory. Im not saying that your right or wrong but your theory is a good sound one but sometime it doesnt alway work as expected
Assest are in dev kit but bear in mind copywriters blah dont do for profit or giving away assest for other project other then the mod for the game … so yes just keep in mind about that
Will be closing this thread as it derailed quite a bit.
