Weapons are not in racks.
Thralls are sinking into the foundations.
EVERY UPDATE DOESN’T FIX IT JUST SPOILS THE GAME!!!
It really makes you discouraged to play and even more so to buy anything.
Yup going to be me and blame… the poster. You have far too many thralls too close together. There was a reason the game had a thrall placement proximity.
My rig couldn’t load all that let alone run once it was loaded. In my opinion that number of thralls being that close together is going to cause issue not at all related to the game bugs. So nothing for the devs to fix.
It’s like putting 2 tons of feed on a half ton truck and blaming the feed or the truck when the axle breaks.
That is because in my opinion, the issue isn’t the game. The only thrall I ever have sink is a dancer on a stage between two other dances, the only thralls I have in close proximity.
You know my opinion is a good number of people cause their own issues by over building and over crowding. I’d bet if you got rid of 4/5ths of those thralls the other 1/5 wouldn’t sink.
While you may be correct on the cause (I wouldn’t really know, like you I never have these sorts of numbers), it is worth bearing in mind the existing ‘Thrall population limit’ (or whatever it’s called). Funcom has set a hard limit on the total number of thralls players can have - it is unsurprising that some players (especially long term players) reach that limit. (Heck, there was that thread a couple of weeks ago from somebody wanting archers not to count towards the limit, because they wanted the full limit of fighters plus a load of archers.)
Previously (again, just to the best of my understanding), there were fewer problems from being at that limit - so, assuming you are correct about the cause, that suggests that performance issues introduced in the last couple of updates are playing a role.
This is the bit I have to disagree with (at least in part) - yes, players could have fewer followers - but the limit exists - if that limit is above the limit that the game is actually capable of (by a factor of 5 if your napkin maths example is correct), then surely that is, to at least some extent, Funcom’s fault?
And are those weapons off the racks Thralls’ fault, too?
Before the update, these bugs were not present on our server. They appeared after the new update.
I do not want to rewrite, so I will insert a screen shot -parameters of my equipment.
It’s not super hardware, but I can handle it on the highest settings.
Conan installed cleanly along with steam.
It is not the fault of my hardware.
What makes you think
A: I’m doing purges.
B: I only have 10 thralls.
I believe I have 48 across my temple, sorcerum, main keep, and transtone base.
I was doing “purges” on testlive but was still under my 60 thrall limit. None of my raidme base thralls are close to each other and none of them sink.
Probably.
Your equipment makes no difference if you have reached the limits of the game engine.
And just how many mods are you running on this private server?
ETA: Not saying there isn’t issues with the game, am saying you are compounding those issues.
Whether or not the original poster is compounding the issue I cannot say, but even before this last update I have seen our own thralls sinking into the foundations with the old proximity distance.
You are totally wrong the issue IS the game bad optimized you can search many games with many NPC together and It wont happen Theres good know games like ARK , GTA , FALLOUT 76 where you SEE much more NPCs cars Dinos Monsters everything in your screen and you wont lag , crash or get BLUE screen and Just to remember all It games have a much best grafic of Conan exiles.
EVERY update in Conan the game come more and more broken isnt fault of players its all fault of funcom bad programmers.
I have ONE performer thrall in an outpost far away from any of my other thralls. And she very often sinks into the floor. How do you explain that, genius? Best keep quiet here.
You do get there is more then likely multiple causes, right? Right?
An odd exception to a rule doesn’t stop it from being a rule. If you read you will see different people are having this issue at different times. So we can assume there are multiple causes to this same end result.
And just what does me understanding that and you failing to comprehend it say about you?
So it’s this individual’s fault … and everyone else’s?
Everyone who is having problems like these IS PLAYING WITHIN THE RULES OF THE GAME. Funcom wants fewer thralls or have them further apart, they can do that. Funcom want archer posts to work properly, they can do that. Etc, etc, etc.
Being an apologist for such incompetence is sad. Let a real dev handle these problems. if there are any anymore.
Pardon I blame funcom’s lacking in enforcement of the ToC on the public PVE servers as being the cause of a good portion of the issues.
Part of the reason the issue has become so bad lately may be because they removed the thrall placement proximity; another funcom caused issue. Or that it is just common on PVE servers to have max thralls per clan… of alts.
But are they? Don’t think just because funcom hasn’t admined a build that it isn’t a ToC violation. Public server moderation on the PVE servers comes someplace after fixing the push off ledges bug.
I’ve given up even trying to get funcom to enforce the ToC, they wont even investigate PVE.
One bad apple can crash a server. I’m not running purges, but I still have to deal with what happens to server performance when others are.
Now is it the individuals fault funcom lets people load down the servers so everyone on the server suffers? No.
Is it the individuals fault that funcom seems to think we want to be their HOA agents? No. But we are still the ones that have to deal with server lag.
