The new update is out now! Featuring fixes and tweaks of all scopes and size, we’re focusing on improving your overall experience in the Exiled Lands. Let’s go over some highlights of today’s update, and for the full patch notes, click here.
The Stygian Legion have abandoned their stronghold within the Exiled Lands, and the Dogs of the Desert have reclaimed the Ruins of al-Merayah. This means the keep is gone, and the area has been refitted back to being a Dogs of the Desert NPC camp. The Jhebbal Sag cave shrine linked to The Sacred Hunt is still intact and available.
Stamina received adjustments, with the aim of meeting in the middle with feedback about stamina costs being too high. The cost of attacks is being halved across the board, meaning you’ll be able to perform a full combo with two-handed weapons with only 100 Stamina. Stamina Regeneration delays and the ‘Exhausted’ state return with similar values from before some of these changes:
StaminaRegenerationTime = 3.75
StaminaExhaustionTime = 3.75
StaminaOnConsumeRegenPause = 1.3
StaminaOnExhaustionRegenPause = 2.75
Restored the Exhausted state when you run out of stamina.
A compass has been added! The new Wayfinder feat allows you to craft a compass; as long as you have it in your inventory, a new heading indicator will appear next to your temperature gauges under your health bar.
Companions: Liu Fei’s PvP prowess is being addressed and is no longer functionally invulnerable. Freya’s woes with hogs are also bieng addressed.
Crash fixes for various situations.
Building hammer placement preview should consistently snap to buildings.
Honestly I think this is only here to provoke the PvP community, make meaningful changes that are worth your very clearly limited time working on this game and not spit in the faces of people that have been advocating for years at this point for you to fix the spear. #RemoveMoreFrames
This thing is literally most useless thing ever added in game…
I dunno who asked it… but like why need compass if you have M map that you open and your character is literal arrow, and all maps layout is West to left, north on top, east to right, south on bottom…
That is damn lazy from anyone who asked compass to be in game… in my opinion most useless thing added ever in game unless now funcom decides to take away player markers in future from game… then ok yes its usefull but for now… its like why? Nobody cant just open map and see that volcano is north and white arrow of player aims to it?
also wtf is bag with name LOC_Tree Houses? bugs already?
The throwing and shifting of things while sorting inventory was never fixed. Why are you even trying to do anything? If you can’t even fix the basic bugs?
Extensive list of patch notes that seem to address a lot of issues. Thrall placement journey fixes and blacksmith affecting tool stats are some that I’m happy to see. With such a comprehensive list, I’m curious to see if there are any changes that snuck in/weren’t noted in patch notes but seems less likely.
I noticed patch notes mentioned fix to Skelos Bearer III, but am curious/will test if the lower tier ones were also adjusted.
I’d hoped to see changes to the inventory update that created more issues than it solved it hopefully that will come soon.
Overall, this looks great and I’m looking forward to looking at it in game.
Still don’t get why so many people seem so bent out of shape about the compass. It’s an item you have to craft and leave in your inventory to use. One that, yes, people have been asking for.
I could understand the frustration if it was made part of the UI and you couldn’t turn it off or something, but it is 100% optional. Don’t like it, don’t get it, hate it with all of hell’s fury? Don’t craft it lol. It’ll be like it was never added.
Anyway, in regards to the patch itself, pretty happy with the notes after a quick scan.
Still hope one of these upcoming patches will unlock framerate on PS5 but I know that’s a pie in the sky dream at this point.
While i do understand the negativity of some people because the issue they were personally most concerned about may not have been addressed, i do find the direction Funcom is going to be the right one.
Yes you might personally not care about issue X being fixed, but someone else does.
People are prone to leave negative comments when not satisfied with something. Sadly the same ain’t true about people being satisfied.
Every single fix, be it minor or big, is a W in my book.
Wow. That’s actually patchetic that funcom still havent fixed this significant loss of function after over 5 months. This was the only thing i cared for them to fix so glad i didnt waste my time reinstalling.
