For better social interactions with players on PvP.
So you want to be able to pay 100 gold bars to have another players location show up on your map so you know where they are, without them knowing?

Yes. Would be a nice feature. I wouldn’t mind someone knowing my location if they payed 100 gold bars.

Established clans would find any new players/clans in a heartbeat without even needing to scout the grid.
100 gold bars is nothing.

Until it’s all day, every day being followed around the map with no reprieve, no way to escape, no solitude to farm and build up defenses - ooop, there’s a fine fellow! Good thing I don’t mind that he pays 100 gold bars every single day to find me! death noises

Here’s a better idea “fingers crossed”. A crom altar is placed in sinkhole. You can make an offering of 50 Sacrificial Blood in a flask and all players are revealed on the map for 2min. Everyone can see everyone. You can also make an offering of 50 Soul Essence and some big treasure locations are shown for 2min.
I mean, it’s Crom, he wants people to interact with one another. 
I feel like seeing players online is not enough to get things going on PvE-Conflict, PvP.
All players receive the message “You’ve been blood marked” and screen has a red tint for 2min.
Players that are on claimed land will be invisible to protect their base location.
You know you have the undead dragon inside the sinkhole, don’t you? 
It’s called The Arena for a reason.

What would prompt a Crom altar to be built there? It’s far away from the lore npc’s that would consider Crom their God. Additionally…an altar to Crom defeats the entire reason for following Crom…Where’s @Jimbo when I need him?

Aside from the absurdity of the lore breaking in his suggestion. The entire purpose of it is to have large alpha clans farm resources (which they can do in NO TIME FLAT) and then grief the server with no effort of actually looking for anyone. And this is a suggestion why?

He already admitted it wasn’t a good idea. I just think he’s spitting balling ideas from a good place, just not thinking them through.
Crom would do no such thing. You offer crom blood and he’ll doom you to spill all yours. He has no ties to the sinkhole, as a site of blasphemers fighting under the banner of alien gods

This doesn’t fit with Crom. Also how much Age 2 do you play?
There’s PvP on Conflict servers. Excluding raiding, players can fight and loot eachother. It’s the kind of PvP that appeals to players with not alot of gaming time.
My feature suggestion was aimed at the fact that it’s very hard to find players during PvP time, so fights are very rare. Maybe Funcom can improve this in a sublte way, without affecting lore too much.
Not very familiar with the lore of the Gods, but you have a fair point about alpha clans gaining an upper hand.
