I would like to suggest revamping the merchants inventory. At the moment none of the merchants sell anything that is even remotely useful for the coin being asked. Who is gunna buy elephant hide for 5 silver coins for example?? Why not sell some armour or weapons out of random loot pools. Actual recipes instead of just food. Demon blood, hardened leather etc. I’m not talking in large volumes like maybe 5 demon blood for 5 gold or something so it’s not a viable replacement for grinding but if I’m 5 short of a needed 200 demon blood than all of a sudden it’s appealing. I dunno just tossing ideas around. They are fairly useless as is except for the ones selling pets in my opinion. I’ve never bought anything off them.

Agree, for me actually the merchants adds just some animation to the city, and that’s. I think i barely bought stuff from them. The only thing are eggs a time.
But like you said, why buy overpriced rhino hides. I think the merchants are lucky that Conan is never leaving his taverne, or hit will make them swallow theyr merchandise.

Managed to get all 3 Dancers behind him recently although I died multiple times just had to do it. Semperatu merchandise useless

I totally agree with this thread, the merchants are useless, each one only has 1 thing they sell, if they had more exotic wares (hard to find items) and more variety then it would be different. If they don’t revamp the merchants then having gold and silver coins is pointless
On a side note: it would be nice if there were travelling merchants, that would visit your stronghold and stay for a short time then move off to another area or have thralls you can get that are merchants at some of the smaller settlements, that actually have things to sell.
