Currently the traps available are temporary, very noticeable and in many cases more dangerous to your own base than intruders attacking it.
Suggestion: Makes some concealable (camo not invisible) traps that stay in game (don’t despawn quickly) unlike the ones we currently have or modify the ones that we do.
Springstyle traps would be fun too and launching traps (taunches target up or away, etc) to make base attacking more challenging and maybe even combat offlining if even a little bit.
Traps have been asked about for a while now. Funcom doesn’t buff defenses, only attacking. If something they take away from defending as has happened along the years. One of the biggest mistakes was the ability to snap the explosive jars on to surfaces just like any other placeable, that ruined defending the most. You could build your bases so that they were very hard to bomb but now it’s pointless. Nothing has any challenge in it anymore, just run around and raid with no problems, a game for those who lack patience.
Yeah, maybe that is the goal now. I hope this is not the case. If defenses were better more players may be encouraged build more often and actually defend their base.
