Game mode: Online official Type of issue: Bug Server type: PvE Region: [#1011 EU]
so i just build my base as i always do, log on the next day saw a roofpiece missing… i knew i placed it but though ah who cares and placed a new one… today i log in same thing happend… zo i checked for stability but seems fine (see picture), i also checked the event log just to be sure but there is no mention anywhere
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
build 2 buildings against each other with a doorframe (with door) conecting each other
Oh, that one. That’s a really, really crappy bug, because it’s hard to reproduce – the same build might work just fine in one location on one server and have that problem somewhere else. And that’s what makes it hard to diagnose, too, because you can’t just go and reproduce it in singleplayer, where it’s easy to “reboot” the server. If you’re on an official server, you’re stuck waiting for the next day.
Sorry about that rant, it’s just that I’ve been there before and it’s a bother. Now that I got that off my chest, let’s see if I might be able to help somehow.
Since it’s a sloped wedged roof, I infer that the doorframe on which you’re hanging it is placed on top of a wedge ceiling. Can you tell me whether the primary source of stability for that wedge is a pillar? In other words, if it has a pillar underneath it, would removing that pillar lower its stability? Supporting wedges with pillars is buggy – during the reboot, the stability might not propagate properly and your wedge (and anything attached to it) might end up having lower stability at first.
