Mods I can’t live without (and have no desire to)

I just thought I’d take a moment to highlight some of my favorite mods as a thank you for their hard work that enhances an already great game. While I certainly use a lot more mods that are all fantastic at what they do, some mods just make my modlist every time.

Pippi goes without saying. Anyone who mods a server usually starts with it for good reason. It is a private server host’s dream and the backbone upon which so many great mods build.

The endless Multigun mods. LBPR is a mainstay and I love his Pythagoras extended building and PVE+ ambush just to name a few. Everything Multigun gives us is gold and extremely valuable.

THRALL WARS. So yeah… I dig this mod. Yeah its thematically unique but that part is not what I love most about the mod. The boss mechanics are superb and I just can’t get enough of them. Pile on all the “extras” with the bosses and you have a great mod that fits well into Conan.

Drachenfeles’s weather mods. These again just make the game experience so rich and dangerous. Its amazing what changes in the game when the nights are dark and cold and the weather visuals are enhanced. The sunsets are gorgeous and the jungle is forbidding, all the way it should be. As a side note include the blood mod for extra grit and mood and these mods will make you feel that noob experience again.

Dungeonmaster Tools. This is so excellent for taking server customization to a whole new level. While not every part is suitable for every server experience, there is just so much content to choose from for such a tiny mod, its always in my rotation.

IQoL. This is one of those must haves for me. It gives that extra level of character customization that I just need. Sometimes that dancer fresh off the wheel needs a little help, you know?

Wonderbody. This mod while it appears so minor, is just one I can’t do without. I could get into why but some things need not be explained… ahem.

There are of course a gazillion other mods I could mention which have brought me hundreds to thousands of hours of enjoyment, but the ones above are always present. I’d he curious if there are other mods out there people enjoy that are just always in their rotation.

Apart from the mods already mentioned, at least three of Testerle’s mods are pretty much must have for me at this point:

Stacksize+ - small and simple, all it does is to add a multiplier which can be adjusted from 0-100.

Unlock Plus (with Pickup) - I liked the mod before but since Testerle added the resource management buttons it is a must have mod for me.

Fashionist - Get an efficient build and wear it with style + integrated CharEditLite to customise the look of your crafters as well.

Ooo! Good topic choice.

I prefer a small mod list but there are so many fantastic mods and talented modders it does make choosing difficult.

Pippi is a must. The features Josh has created expands gameplay possibilities without the need to open the devkit. It’s absolutely amazing what he has made possible for the CE community.

Aside from the list already growing, my personal favorites are AtzerriGold’s Roleplay Aesthetics and Cookiejar’s Immersive Armors. Both modders allow for an amazing range of customization options. Players can make truely epic and unique looking Howardian characters with these two mods.

Shupaa’s building collection adds to building in unique ways. Sand and Stone is my personal favorite because of the coloring but having them all makes it hard to choose which building style to use. Gah! Choices… Another hat tip to him is the small file size for so much content.

Emberlight because coffee! And a whole bunch of QoL additions that the team gave to us early on like the option to shave. Love you guys for that.

Yes… but when ultimate suffering is the goal, coffee is the first to go… coffee brings pleasure and never pain.

Next to the mentioned mods I really like the Snowhunter Mods because they fit so well in the Conan universe. They will give you so much more to explore and play with. And of course all the map mods like savage wilds too for similar reasons.

Snowhunter’s mods are fabulous and are part of a rotation I do with my servers between them and Age of Calamitous. When I want a pure Conan experience, I load up all the Snowhunter mods which he works on tirelessly and when we are looking for high powered excitement, we load up AoC and Endgame Extended Weapon Arsenal (another popular-for-good-reason choice). Usually this combo is where we use things like Emberlight and a few other quality of life mods like Seed Table. It amazes me how mods can go from so simple to so complex and be so impactful.

While I didnt mention it before because I dont always use it, Amunets Server Transfer is also a huge gift to the players (I even put together a guide for webservers to help people enjoy the experience who might be too technologically timid).
