As the title says, Imo the game need more buildings that use black ice.
Im so tired of the black ice design and all other buildings use bricks, which take much longer to produce…
Which is precisely why this is likely never going to happen. You’ve got a far better chance of them increasing the cost of black ice building pieces.

Hardened brick isn’t really that tough. Grass and resin in a firebowl (which is pretty simple to get with a pickaxe and scythe). IIRC, it even makes some pretty huge amounts (x 5) when you work on it. It’s just an extra step.
And to be truthful, probably easier than trekking all the way to the far north for mass quantities of black ice.
Those were the OPs words, not mine, I personally have no trouble producing hardened brick.
But there is no disputing that black ice is less time intensive than HB. The cook time alone for hardened brick is more time intensive than taking a map room to the frozen north and killing a few giants to clear the path for harvesting all the black ice you’ll need.
