More of wishful thinking

Edit note…re-thought the armor and when the perks are done.
If thralls are going to be (or already are) a main mechanic, i would like to seem them get more depth than grinding to level 20.

Here are 4 things I think would make them “fun” and more immersive in Conan lore:

  1. 1 Level 20 per clan member
All the rest cannot level past 15. Think of the level 20 as your “friend” and the others as just meat shields you trained.

  2. Have the Level 10 perk be armor temperature and armor type perks.
    Armor Type
    Light, Medium, Heavy, All types

There are 3 types of temp effects
Cold, Neutral, Heat

The first perk roll at 10 would be 1 of 12 combinations of these two “traits”.

  1. Level 15 There would be 12 types of weapons

There would be 12 possible weapons
ALL 1H, ALL 2h, 1H Sword
1H Broad Sword, 1H Ax, Mace
War Hammer, 2H Sword, Spear
Daggers, Bow, 2H Axe

  1. Level 20 would do the rolls we have now, minus the ones with the (-)'s of course. Maybe even higher values since you are getting only 1 master roll.

What this would do, is have the player have a true companion, like Conan seems to always find in his stories.

We could get re-rolls, with a cost if you did not like their level 15 roll, or level 20 roll. You could demote your level 20 or 15 to level 10, and re-roll that and re level. But here is the catch, every re-roll has a negative value done to to the HP, lose 10% of health. And it stacks, so if you keep re-rolling the same thrall, it will eventually have a crappy HP. This would reduce the exploitative nature of it.

As for the level 10 and 15 perks, they would not reduce any atts if you did not match the “traits” you rolled, but you would get buffs if you did.

Armor Temp Trait
Heat–Adds 500 HP
Cold-Adds 500 HP
Neutral–nothing, but you get to choose!!!

Weapons Trait
Exact Weapon adds +10% to the STR rating
Exact Type adds +5% to the STR rating (Except Bow, it would add +20% to ACC)
All would only add nothing, because you are allowed to choose any weapon

Armor Trait
Light armor attacks faster (animation speed)
Medium Armor Buffs Health Regen from food by 3x.
Heavy Buffs Agility points 200

Again, just a thought to make thralls even more immersive, and have more depth than vit, str, Sword of Crom

The way i see it every post you make is professionaly scientific. Dude i am a plumber , not a scientist :joy::joy::joy:. From the little thing i understand and ofcurse because i like you i will support your idea. Still i have one small disagreement about the first part of your suggestion. Why pve should go this through, for better pvp? Collateral damage?

It actaull does not want thralls nerfed/buffed. Just if thralls are going to be a major center piece, then make them unique, and it also allows for the re-roll so many want. I also remove negatives with my idea. no more -3 Str at level 20. The only negative is if you decide to re-roll. That is to keep players from re-rolling the same thrall over and over to get the eventual Meta. It also brings other armors into play, as well as weapon types. Right now the game, PVE or PVP, centers on getting Sword of Crom, a Berseker or Dalinsa, Godbreaker or Heavy Str armor. Almost all thralls outside of RP community are looking the same. Making bonuses for the different types of armor, weapons would make a visually more pleasing experience running around the map. Pictish, 2H Berserkers should be the title of the game right now. I even take into account the crappy Bow game of thralls, and give that extra boost if you get the Bow weapon perk. But i guess i just want more from a a game with so many unused pieces. And the traits are not required, so PVE could ignore them if they are going for certain looks on their thralls. But it is a reward if you choose to “be different” than the Meta.

That would all be nice one more thing to add thralls don’t have all perks players do so some armors won’t provide any thing buff wise except armor vanir armors are all grit but if you put it on the thrall it gets no extra befits thus thrall armor is some what limited in terms of usefulness just a thought but that could be completely hard to due depending on how they make that system

Thank you for bothering to explain, i own one , plus i am happy to support this idea because now that i get it , it is great .
