I really like the Unnamed City area but outside of doing circles killing bosses, there isnt much to do. Its a huge area of the map where you cannot build and if you notice its entirely buried in sand like most Egyptian ruins were in real life before uncovered.
Do you think we’ll ever get a major content update with anything to do with the Unnamed City and the sands being blown away uncovering the rest of the city?
That place is ripe for content especially since its a no build zone. Would love to see the lore expanded there and maybe giving the Unnamed City a name and finding out more about the Giant Kings who once lived and ruled there.
i’d like to see some more content in the game in general, unnamed city could be a good spot for some endgame dungeon experiences. i’m not so fond of the idea of changing the landscape there (blowing the sand away as you said) as the sandstorm and it’s destruction of the unnamed city is a core part of the exiled lands lore, and contributes to the ‘feel’ of the unnamed city. but there are numerous ziggurats in the city with door gates that could lead to new dungeons.
i doubt we will see this, aside from a modder potentially taking up the idea, as the game seems stuck in a sort of minimal new content loop of: tweak (and break) some numbers, tweak (and break) some blueprints, introduce a fundamentally useless mechanic to theme the battlepass and bazaar around, hotfix some of the stuff those tweaks have broken, then repeat.
honestly, i wish funcom would just leave the game alone. i feel bad for console players who can’t play with mods, but in my mind the modding community is where good new content comes from, not from funcom.
You have no idea how badly I want a ‘pre-sandstorm ancient exiled lands’ version of the map. I would love to see it more green, more trees, and an Unnamed City that isn’t buried.
