My play glitched into some small room with no exit.. what do I do ?!

I was climbing a wall on the keep at Swagger Rock and my player all of a sudden glitched into some small room (like 3x3x1) with no exit… I am stuck!! I could kill myself but I would lose everything…

Are you on a multiplayer server or single player?

Hi there!

Depending on the type of server you are playing on, your options are limited. I will assume that this is not Single Player, and the structure is not yours.

  • If it is PvP, you could wait for the raid window to open, and you could try to blast your way out. I almost always pack noxious and explosive arrows on me. Just for such prediciments. Pick a spot, and then alternate fire to create your own exit. Or - contact other players or clanmates on the server, and ask them to blow a hole from the outside.

  • Pull your bracelet, and recall your corpse via summoning circle and learned sorcery. If you have not yet learn and set these things up, this likely will not be an option for you. For future situations - consider the setup a priority. Especially if you are going to be crawling around in unfamiliar and possibly trapped constructions.

  • Log out, and wait. You will not expend food and water while logged out.

  • Identify the owner of the structure, and attempt to bargain with them. Tell them you will bring them some kind of boon if they let you out. Or you will part with some of your weapons/loot. Depending on the server you are playing on, and the community that resides on your server, this might be a possibility.

There are a few other methods you can use for getting out. But many of the other methods involve exploiting the game physics, and aren’t really permissible as recommendations to you. Good luck.

It’s the stupid npc fortress. If you’re on single player you can use admin to ghost out or rip the foundations or walls out. Otherwise if you’re not on single player, you can try removing your bracelet in combination with sorcery to recall your corpse and gear back to your base

thank you for the suggestions… interestingly, I took the bracelet off but when I died, I didn’t lose any of my inventory. . . so uh win win lol. I had totally forgot about the corpse recall! I’ll look in to that :slight_smile:

Well, for future reference… Unless something has changed recently you can break the building pieces of the Al Ma fort with just your weapon. Will take a while… but can be done.

I helped someone who was in the same predicament by doing just that a few months ago.

Funcom really needs to add an option to disable that npc fortress, especially on single player mode.
