Need Guidance- building multiple altars in one building

Greetings.

From what I have gathered so far, it seems that Altars need 4 blocks high inside a structure with a ceiling.

I have read that Altars need to be 8 spaces apart on the horizontal.

I have also read that Altars need to be 16 spaces apart vertically.

Is this information correct?

If anyone has any tips for placing multiple Altars in a multi floor Tower type structure, it would be appreciated.

What you describe matches this video, and I have seen others spacing their altars like this. Just make sure to make space for Zath as well.

I’m assuming you’re after some obscene skittlez coloured single light beam for your tower?
