Network issues- PS4

I played quite a bit over the weekend.
Official PVE-C Server #3828
Exeperienced at least 6 Connection to Server Lost occurences while in game exploring.

Network issues I have mentioned before also occurred; Connection to Server lost message while looking for Server in list, Pending connection to Server lost while loading into game, and the odd modem behavior, losing connection and resetting.

I play a lot of games with online aspects, I stream most of the time I am playing.
Conan:Exiles is the only game I play where my modem connection is interrupted, and my modem resets itself.

Sunday Morning after the AM server restart was particularly bad.
I was unable to successfully log into the game for at least 45 minutes after Server restart.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:
1.Play game, experience random Server disconnects.
2.Experience multiple issues while attempting to log back into Server after disconnect, or Server restart, including:
2a. Connection Lost message.
2b. Server not showing up in list.
2c. Internet connection loss, resulting in automatic reset of modem.

Do you also experience these issues in other servers? If so, which?

Have you tried to perform a clean reinstall of the game or to rebuild the PS4 database?

I have never played on a different server.
I did rebuild my database as you suggested.
performance overall was improved.

However, the issue which causes my modem to go into a hard reset still occurs on occasion.
Typically I am trying to select my Server in the Server queue menus, and a connection error message occurs. When this happens, my internet connection becomes non-functional and the modem does a hard reset.

As this is a tricky edge case we recommend that you try to isolate the issue by taking the following steps:

  • Try powering off and disconnecting any other devices that make use of the router, both wired and wireless, so that only the console is connected to it through cable
  • Check if the Router provides logs to give further insight on the crash/error
  • Check if it’s possible to create a rule to limit the bandwidth available for the PS4 through the router settings
  • Try using a different cable to connect directly from the router to the PS4, and/or switching Ethernet port on the router
  • If possible, try to get a full router replacement, including its power supply ( source )

My internet is provided by Charter; average speeds 180 MB/up, 5/down
My PS4 is connected directly to the modem, no other devices are connected.

I started restarting my PS4, and my modem each day before I started an online session.

I play a lot of games with online features, and also use my PS4 for Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc.

Conan Exiles is the only program which this network issue occurs.
