I’ve been on a hiatus for a while and thought I’d try a play through. I know devs have shifted attention to bug fixes and optimization, which is needed, but what’s the forums opinion on the game ever getting new content or at the very least, new shop items?
I’m looking to spend my croms to get rid of them before I drift off to another game.
I still do not recommend the Bazaar because of the no refunds. If you don’t mind getting stuck with something that isn’t what you expected or is broken…
I’d guess it depends on how well Dune does. If it becomes super successful, Conen will be left on the sidelines.
If Dune flops, they might come back to their more successful games.
On the other hand, they still have a few things at least for Age of Heroes in the pipeline. After that, we can only guess.
If you missed it, play and enjoy.
I wish you’ll get a standard experience without game breaking bugs if you decide single player, or a good performing server if you go online.
Welcome back and have fun m8.
Honestly I do miss this game. It’s been one of my favorites since it came out. The thing that really made me quit was the player falling through foundations and getting stuck. So far I haven’t experienced this since returning. My thralls still sink into foundations but I don’t seem to. I’ve got more time on my hands this summer so I’ll try PVP, but I’ve kept refreshing my base on PVE-C for my time away. There really is nothing like this game that combines survival, building, crafting, and fighting on consoles. Ark, Rust, 7 Days to Die, Subnautica, etc… Conan was always more appealing. I just wish the pop-in loaded faster and lag didn’t tank combat.
Why are your thralls sinking?
I’d recommend reporting it.
If 7D2D was third person I’d be playing it.
IDK. I’ve had a base for over a year or so and two specific thralls sink almost every time I log in. No other thralls, just those 2.
If they stop doing the Ages I’d be fine with it. I found the timeframes for that content unrealistic in comparison to their team and 6 month intervals seems like they slapped a long deadline to satisfy a construct of their own making.
They have a lot of unfinished Age of Heroes content that has severely affected the stability of the game. I feel like it should be removed or completely fleshed out before updating, rather than the piecemeal feature releases we’ve been getting.
Instead, I’d prefer if they focused on fixing, making good on promises and fleshing out the preexisting game. Like gods, fixing pets, maybe meeting some realistic asks like dyeing saddles. Maybe reverting the UI so that it’s functional again then expanding on true QOL.
Some kind of roadmap would be nice.
I know how important the Black Lotus Bazaar is to some but I would be happy if they went back to DLC packs, I might even consider buying if that were the case.
I have been very loud on getting the game fixed and in a stable state but this “dry spell” confuses me a bit. Maybe they can’t release stuff on the BLB because of the quality and it interfering with their bug fixing efforts? Quality has been an issue too. Whether it was stools or the latrine that couldn’t be interacted with or a supposed functional build set being switch around and pulled off the storefront.
Perhaps some clarification could go a long way… at least it would put to rest any speculation.
its a bit buggy because the devs never really fully implemented it.
Yet you go to third person driving.
In a recent preview for 2.0, they show their character in third person. There is some speculation that this may be added as an option for everyone in the next update.
Just so you know Fun Pimps is worse than Funcom (hard to imagine I know). The fact the game has bee in development for almost 13 years and still plays like a very early access game should be a massive red flag itself. Rather than printing out a 5 paragraph essay you’re not going to read though I will just say do some research before you pull the trigger on that purchase.
I’ve had 7D2D as long as Conan exiles, have played it off and on for years; mostly on the neebs server that has a 500 game day cycle for server wipes.
And I think people need to look at other games that have been around as long as Conan, they all kinda janky. ARK, GTA, RUST, any popular game more then 5 years old is going to have jank and development issues.
ARK and ARK1.5 are both janky it’s just one is prettier then the other. They both have mixed epoch dinos and that just a wrong that wont stop bothering me. Like that one floor tile 90 out from the rest.
GTA is just a kids game hack fest.
RUST is a prime example of the worst of PVP.
All janky, all wallowing in there own development, all popular.
thri have not being new bazaar items for 8 months now and it will not comming as long tehir content is on pause now they fixing the game
I would love for Funcom to start fresh. -Make a Conan reborn/2-
Conan is by far their best game made IMO.
Make a new conan game with codes they can actually work with and maybe ureal engine 5.
Conan is / was a success as a meant to only be a minor game, players loved it they made some updates.
Have no idea why they decided to make another shooter survival tbh.
FC has a gem game here, I hope dune don’t flop.
I would be more than fine with it!
THIS!!!
I have never spent a dime in the BLB. I have no intention of ever doing so. I had purchased all of the previous DLC packs on day one. I would completely understand if they raised the prices on these to keep up with current times, it is justifiable and I would gladly have continued to purchase them. Now though…
It is going to take a lot to get me seriously invested back into this game, this game that I had been so passionate about before.
Who know. Maybe with this new fix to the “view obstructed” (which should have come out today) they will release more stuff?
It sure would but… has that really ever been their MO?
Which one?
Age of Conan?
Or Conan Exiles?
And that is not even counting the games they have published but not developed under the Conan IP.
