I’m new to AoC and hopefully will enjoy my experience. I have always looked for a fun and non stressful RP experience in an MMO and can not seem to find it. What I mean by that is I’ll join a “Guild” of RP’ers and if I’m not strict to their IC and OOC rules you get kicked, and they only RP at scheduled events while treating the new guy as if I were a peasant (rp wise and OOC) simply because I’m new. This drove me away from a lot of these elitist groups due to a lack of fun and immersion from these groups.
I’m hoping to make a stealth based character and have some fun. I’m playing form Calgary Alberta Canada so if anyone is up to showing me around I would love to meet in game and learn. I’ll be F2P to start out until I find my footing and from what I read Crom is the only server worth playing on?

Most RP guilds I know got very “loose” rules when it comes to RP, they got their own guild story and history but it’s not like you need to 100% follow it or agree with it - even better, people who might not fully agree with the guild’s story because their character got different believes and so on will make RP a lot more interesting.
I don’t know which guilds are active in RP but there are probably still some guilds out there, maybe you could ask in the global / NPH chat if someone is online or maybe someone else knows active guilds and can post them here in this thread.
Crom would probably be your best bet for activity.
In terms of RP, there are a few guilds that are RP oriented, or at least RP friendly.
House Merano and Empire of Stygia are the most populated of the RP guilds, with EoS having sister guilds for different levels/rp backgrounds that include House Jade Asp and House Golden Ibis.
Other RP guilds at this time include Bringers of Fire, a semi-RP/Casual guild revolving around the worship of Elder Gods (and other Lovecraftianesque gods), Fallen Angels of Derketo, Too Hot Too Handle (FAOD is a female toon oriented guild, THTH is casual/semi RP), and there are a couple people from Barbaric Warriors who RP… Hyboria in Flames, Invicta, Temple of Shadows, and Serpent’s Ascendant, though I dont know how active the last four guilds are.
There is also Watchtower of Kastria, though they seem to not be all that active and The Kingdom of The Most High… but I generally only see those people at worldbosses. Occasionally I see a person from Crimson Veil, but that is not very often.
The link that Nebless provided is probably the best option, though the guy who owns the site no longer plays AoC.
