There are several if you care to follow them; I’ll admit the are pretty obscure, but the some people need to be lead.
Ark is one of the very few open world sandbox games with multiple maps. Most all the others I’ve played only had 1. So Conan has twice as many.
Now that is an opinion. I wanted to like ARK, I was a big dino fan as a kid; learned far too much about them, but I just couldn’t there was far more wrong with the game other the the mixed epoch dinos. If that had been the only propblem I could have lived with it.
I’ve died on the beta server several time because squirrel, and forget I’m in game You can die of thirst and starvation but only if you’re AFK for a long time.
I do believe we can all agree it wouldn’t hurt to bring back the survival aspects of the game. If it’s PVE the environmental effects should be more critical.
It says something about Conan Exiles and the state of these forums that people are more willing to discuss whether ARK is a better game than to discuss the gameplay of Conan Exiles.
Here’s an idea: anyone who thinks ARK is a better game and Conan Exiles isn’t worth playing should go play ARK instead. Seriously, you found something you like better, enjoy it instead of wasting your time here – and ours.
If you want to propose changing something in Conan Exiles because playing ARK inspired you to come up with that suggestion, knock yourself out. Nothing wrong with that. But if you come here just to take a dump on Conan Exiles and say how ARK is better and everyone should go play it, you’re not only being really weird, you’re wasting everyone’s time with your noise.
Theres nothing to do in conan when you hit end game after you have a base legendary weapons and your thrall lvl 20 with all learned recipe theres nothing more to do or farm.
You can call it “Post Age of War” syndrome.
I don’t expect anything good coming from current dev team. Sure, there’s certain people who went full on hopium about coming update because a new hire forum moderator replied to a few posts and Funcom’s decision to postpone beta client release.

Conan Exiles is not a survival game in current state. It’s a theme park game with certain elements of power fantasy. It’s not a bad genre and has an appeal but it was done “Funcom way”.
New purge is a tower defence and funcom didn’t even bother to give us an illusion of an “army” attacking your base. It’s just npcs walking in straight line towards certain point on your claim. They didn’t add randomized routes or group configurations or any tactics to how npcs behave during “siege”. Just a mobile tower defense like line of npcs walking towards your base and just like they usually do Funcom jumped towards new “cool” thing without finishing previous thing.
There’s a clear pattern in how Funcom does everything.
All I can say is thanks towards Kikigirl and not so many others who still have some hope, I don’t.
Hope is why some of us still hang around. Others are hanging around because they still enjoy some aspects of the game, to some degree.
What I don’t understand is those who claim to neither enjoy the game nor have any hope it can improve. And of those, I especially don’t understand those who claim they’ve already moved on to something better. Why are those people hanging around and participating in these discussions?
It’s not a rhetorical question, either. I really don’t understand why. Even so, everyone is welcome to participate, as long as they’re not being jerks.
Like I said, anyone who actually wants to propose something is at least contributing, regardless of whether their suggestion comes from their love of a different game or not. But just saying “you should quit Conan Exiles and go play this other game” – with a side dish of insulting everyone who disagrees – that’s a textbook example of being a jerk.
Conan look best its ok but conan dont run better of ark when you run near a base in conan you already see lag coming and if the base have many light torchs thralls and decorations you have 50% chance to crash it wont happen in ark , in ark you have a hight chance to crash in 2 maps aberration in the blue zone because the hight details and extions because same hight details and many dinos.
Ark have many stories too and have notes where you learn about dinos , boss history and some other things.
Theres 2 maps in ark with many quests and missions give very good rewards maps called genesis and genesis 2 and the rewards make you like to do it many times.
Ark have more event over conan also ark have event themed too like hallowen , givesthanks , merry christimas , end of year , valentines day easter egg and some others.
What some people are trying to do here is asking conan exiles to learn with ark and the other games like valheim soulmask and try add some things work very fine it will make the game work best and will make people happy and dont lost hope in it game.
Most of you know when a update are going to happen in conan the first thing people talk and think are what new bug we will have now!
yes people dont think what will be changed or what new item will come or new locations people just get afraid what will be broken in it update now.
It need to change and if devs begin fo hear players making surveys or aswering people in forum maybe it will help.
When den aswered and changed the flower it give me a little hope maybe things can change but when i see @Kikigirl working hard making almost 50 reports from bugs in beta and they dont talk nothing i become saddly again in how broken it update can come out.

I have fun just when my friends are online or when theres a new player on and he accept help after it i get bored because i have nothing to do.
What shall i do? The last thing i have done was the skull hunt i buyed every item and recipe from the event also i raised both the big bear and the werewolf from the old jherbal event too right now theres nothing to farm or do
The world events dont give us nothing the legendary weapons from chest and bosses are all the same status so dont need to farm more theres nothing to grind in end game they need to add something like a forge where we can change the status of weapons adding the same weapon example you have a mace of thag and get another one you shall merge it to get a new status or transform it in a mace of thag +1 in any status.
The same thing can be used with thralls you have a danisia and get another danisia you shall sacrifice the danisia gather her soul and add turning in a danisia+1 in some status it will help so much adding a true endgame grind and will help making people have many stocked thralls or weapons use it because right now theres NOTHING to do in end game.
You do get the end game actually ends your game, right?

Isn’t it odd how a game not based on earth celebrates not only all the holidays but specific American ones as well.
Thing is the hyborian age was before all that. It would be very out of place in Conan.
Also FYI, I’m a neebs fan and have seen their play throughs of ARK many times. I’ve seen all ARK has to offer. Still not interested in trying it again.
I just start another game. Bet I’ve restarted this game 100 + Just started 2 new ones on the beta server; PVP exiles, PVE Siptah.
No , in most of good multiplayer games when you get in the end game it doesnt mean it over. Theres so much to do like diablo 4 end game you keep farming in ark you keep getting blueprints for best gear and weapons , you keep farming to maintain base gerators and breeding dinos , in destiny 2 you keep farming gear same for rust , elder ring , eso , fallout 76 and many others.
All it games gives something to you do in end game to wait the next update and dont get bored in conan we have nothing to do when we hit endgame we get bored and most people just enter in serial reflesh state waiting the next update.
Just check how many people are posting right now talking about servers crashs.
Also many people already talked they cant play in quality mode in a ps5 or x box or they crash.
They dont need to add themed event like we have they can make many other events also they can add special encounters with rare enemys like bandits ambushing you in the florest or boats with pirates sailing in bucanner or skeletons raising in many places they just need be creative and of course they need add good reward right now all events gives sht reward and most people ignore they.
I have 1 character lvl 60 in every pvp latam server siptah and exiles and i have 5 characters 60 in pve latam too 2 characters with everthing learn and all siptah recipes too in exiles land i will no waste my time making another character nevermore.
If we’re being honest, the examples you give from other games are very similar to what we have in Conan Exiles. Keep collecting things and followers, build and decorate your base, farm legendaries, etc. We’re just repeating the same mechanics. Whether you enjoy this meaningless grind in some other games more than you enjoy the meaningless grind in Conan Exiles is, of course, subjective.
As long as we had our main base at Sinkhole I checked several times a day for encounters in the cannibal fortress.
Mostly there were booring “Grave” but occasionally there were events with a boss from Sipath at the end and you could sometimes get interesting (Siptah) stuff from those.

So you’ve never actually played a game through. The recipes run out and there is only so good you can make a weapon. So in the end all you are doing is farming to maintain your base.

I’ve got a potato i7 4.0, 1060TI, 32 gig, still haven’t replaced the SSD.
Some ornamentation can cause me to drop frames but that is my potato, not the game. A lot of animations going on can lag me down, still if i didn’t have a dino GPU they wouldn’t.
Also note; Read the ToC about builds that cause you to lag.
You mean like head hunters and the sacred hunt or the random one like what is grave matter and the witch one, think there is 2 other but I can’t recall the names.
Sounds like it’s time to move on. If you find conan that bad it might be time to give it up.
Yes i have just one time and theres no big bosses or anything hard to fight and the only fun party is the fight versus witch queen but again very easy fight and in the end of story you lose your character great.
In ark recipes since it can come in some status and yet you still have dinos for breed they can be lvl 4ever with almost no cap you just have to keep breeding theres no maintain base in conan like i talked when you done everything you go in serial reflesh and more nothing.

Im done it i am just refleshing base in conan and getting online just when my friends call me they play in ps4 and im playing ark waiting the update from conan come out to check how it will be and what they will give me to we do.
Precisely! What gives those repeated mechanics a new meaning are the interactions with other players. Ironically, the only game mode where Funcom cares enough for that is PVP, because the only player-interaction mechanic they care for is combat.
Yes i know in sepemeru you can get some Lloigor weapons from siptah too but they are no good and the shield you get are useless too since he is like a wood shield and dont have any effect.
They need to add vault loot in the event rewards like wolf helmet or jhil gloves or goblin helmet etc.
Aleast it will make people dont have siptah recipes learned have a chance to get it items i fell bad sometimes about my friends because i have everything learned and my friends always need me craft the items since they cant learn or loot siptah items in any place.
I own a siptah, but I didn’t enjoy it. I like the original map more, although I would have liked to see it expanded or redesigned a bit to balance the size of the individual biomes.
Even my main knows a few recipes from Siptah , I’ve assembled a few plans from fragments when “portal to yugoth” was active - only to find they are useless to me simply because they are from Siptah and you can’t get eladrium in EL.
